Best Outdoor Sports Bar Setting in the Vista

This is absolutely the best place in Columbia to watch sports on tv and enjoy the patio when the weather is good, The food is definitely a cut or 5 above typical bar food. The grilled wings are the best I have ever had, and the salads are super. The staff is very accommodating. A "can't miss... read more

Of all the places to dine in the Vista, I had to choose this place. This was my first time ever at the Carolina Ale House and most likely my last. I ordered the grilled teriyaki salmon and when it was finally delivered to the table (after about an hour), it was only lukewarm. Need I say more about the... More

Food was just ok but our server was excellent and had a personality. I had the pork tacos and one of them had a huge chunk of pork that I could not eat. The rest of group had burgers and said they were ok. If we return to Columbia we probably won't eat here again

While in town we wanted to try something that was more local or not something that we had at home. We came on a Wednesday evening and they were not busy at all. In fact we probably were only the 2nd table when we arrived. Our service was not good at all. The waitress was slow and never really came... More

A group of co workers and friend went by before Christmas. There was a wonderful atmosphere and the food and drinks were great. Look forward to foing back when the weather is warmer and sitting on the patio and see the beautiful Columbia Sky Lines.

We waited ten minutes before anyone came to our table. The waitress was efficiently friendly. The frickles were good. The CAH nachos with pulled pork were terrible. The quality of pork used was subpar and fatty. My mother enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad. Prices were reasonable for the Vista area. The heat was up too high. It was uncomfortably warm.... More

This is your typical college type bar hangout with lots of sports stuff on the walls, TVs, and it can get pretty loud when there is a big game on the TV. I like the outdoor seating area upstairs during the spring thru fall. They've changed their menu a bit but it's consistent (nachos, cheesy fries, dips/chip, pastas, etc). My... More

good food and plenty of TVs in the bar for Saturday football games. Staff very friendly and attentive even when the busiest part of the evening. We were with a group of about 20 and everyone enjoyed their selection of food and drink.

Good food that doesn't give the "chain food" feeling. Theres a lot of room and different areas to accommodate different groups, (sports, dates, family eating, etc.) and many times I have had a manager ask how things are which is usually a good sign of a restaurant that cares. Have been many times and will continue to go back.
