Unexpectedly Yummy

My mom and I were in town for a soccer tournament and were craving pasta and I saw good recommendations here. We were a little thrown off by the line out the door, but then soon realized you order right away and then sit. We started to get a little worried, but quick scanned the menu and ordered a... read more

The pasta was yummy, the salad fresh. We enjoyed our meals and getting out of the heat. I gave it an average rating mostly because I don't like having to order at a counter. The waitresses who bring your food are very good, I just wish I could have perused a menu and ordered at the table. Good spot for... More

Nestled in the heart of Clemson you will find this little Italian hiding one of Clemson best kept secrets. Fresh home made Pasta and authentic Italian dishes all at the most reasonable of prices. Here's a hint , they accept restaurant.com coupons that will save you even more. Great Pizza and the deserts are to die for , don't go... More

I ordered Parmesan chicken with spaghetti in marinara. What I got was insufficiently coated spaghetti, that was hard to separate and clearly reheated. The marinara had no flavoring. I was hoping for a tinge of basil or garlic, but it was as good as the canned Ragu. The chicken had a very thick coating, which was very soggy. Clearly, reheated... More

Have been eating lunch here for years, had lunch again last week and once again, not disappointed! Upon entering, place your order at the counter and pay, then find a seat and the staff serves you. It's efficient, and the servers take good care of you once you are seated. The atmosphere is relaxing, open and airy. There are a... More

This is a great Italian place in Clemson. I find it better than olive gardens. The menu price is reasonable for students and great tasting Italian food.

This is supposed to be an Italian based restaurant for starters. When you walk in you have to pay for the food up front, before you even get seated. We had a party of 8 so we got nailed with 17-18% gratuity right off the bat! I mean really, why would you pay a tip to someone before they even... More

I don't know if I would classify this as great Italian food but it is very good and if you're in Clemson looking for a reasonably priced Italian place that's safe, clean, and you won't leave hungry, Brioso is a pretty good stop. Attire: pretty much anything since it's in a college town but Khaki shorts and polo for guys... More

This restaurant opened when our son was still in grad school at Clemson University (we are all Clemson alums) and he took us there from its start. It is right on College Avenue not three blocks from the University. The atmosphere is very open and casual yet still classy. You order at the front counter by selecting your type of... More

There is great variety at Brioso in terms of types I pasta, sauce, proteins and extras. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste as fresh as one would hope. The service is fine but nothing outstanding. The atmosphere is not conducive to conversation. The biggest drawback is that the way the counter is set up - and you order at the counter first... More
