El-Sharif's has moved into a former Quincy's Steakhouse location, just down the street. It doesn't sell much pizza anymore, instead a broad offering of Greek and Italian dishes and salads. Rather than dither about what to order, go for a baked pasta dish. I have never sen baked pasta anywhere else. They are well done, and priced reasonably (Under $10).... More

El-Sherif's used to be a very good restaurant, but in recent years the quality as plummeted. The service is slow, although the single waitress is always very friendly and kind. In the past they used to have a wonderful souvlaki chicken dinner, but the last time I tried it tasted like it had been in the fridge and then microwaved.... More

Several other sites had mixed reviews for this place. I stopped b/c it was getting late and I was hungry. I had the gyro dinner. Greek salad. Fries and a gyro. Yes I have had better but this was good. I have no complaints.

This is usually my favorite restaurant in Cheraw; I guess we hit on an off night. They seemed to be understaffed, so the service was slow. Food was average - it is usually excellent. I still love their Greek salads and pita bread with tziki sauce! This was for dinner, and the buffet they have at lunch was not available.... More

I used to eat at El-Sherif's all the time until a couple of years ago. I noticed that the food and service just wasn't up to the past. I recently gave them another shot and had a Souvlaki Chicken sandwich that made me sick... literally. The chicken tasted strange and I obviously should not have eaten the sandwich. The lettuce... Nothing to write home about. Food was ok.... service average.... price...fair. Stopped in for dinner with my wife while in the area. Establishment was clean with clean restrooms. Salad bar was fresh but with limited items. In the area a lot during hunting season and would probably go back at least once more to get a better opinion of this... More

This restaurant is catalogued under the Mediterranean/Italian categories, it is a blend between the two. You can find stromboli, pasta, manicotti, but also there is gyros and greek salads. You can also have a steak if that is your choice. I would say the desserts are one of the best things you can find around town, if you want to... More

I had stayed away for years even though I am in Cheraw frequently for field trials since I had never heard good things. However, a friend swore it was his favorite spot in town and we tried it. It was surprisingly good. The fare is simple but there is a fair amount of variety and the salads are great. My... More

We went to dinner with friends who had heard the this place was great. Our experience was far from even being good. The place is clean enough looking and pleasantly decorated. That is where the good ends. The service was horrendous. We waited 1 1/2 hours for a meal that left us with heartburn all night and the next morning... More
