Worth the wait

Three friends and I had a 90 minute wait but it was worth it. We went to another bar on East Bay St and they called us by cell when the table was ready. I ordered tuna and dirty rice with asparagus. The meal was delicious. The rice complimented the medium rare tuna which was prepared just the way... read more

This is not just an oyster bar but a high end casual dining restaurant. We have been here twice over the weekend and are impressed first by the service and second by the food. The food came out a little slow the first visit but the Hamachi appetizer was excellent and the drinks were great as well, On the second... More

The seafood plateau was impressive. Half a lobster, mussels, tuna tartare, scallop ceviche, three types of oysters, Texas shrimp....oh my. The oysters on the half shell we ordered another dozen each! Service at the bar, Shannon, was great.

Sat at side bar overlooking front entrance of restaurant which was great for people watching. Enjoyed a dozen house oysters on half shell and a generous house salad all at a reasonable price. My friend had clam soup that was out of this world good. I know there are plenty of places in Charleston to get oysters, but for the... More

This is a great spot. Overflow crowds on a Friday afternoon are the first clue. Two draft pints for $5 is the second. Then the variety of oyster's available from way above New England to SC local gives a excellent range of choices---also well priced. Ask for a pint sized Bloody Mary AND some shot glasses. Put the oyster in... More

Nice atmosphere and great food. The clam chowder is honestly the best I've ever had. We had a party of 11 and it took about an hour for us to get seated but it was well worth the wait.

Two of us sat at the bar for a couple of hours and throughly enjoyed the experience. We shared oysters- Rockefeller, deep fried and raw, steamed mussels then shrimp and grits. Topped it off with coconut cream pie. Yum! Drinks were good. A side benefit to sitting at the bar is watching the staff shuck oysters. A lot of oysters.... More
