Great food - warm venue

We enjoy Santi's in Mt. Pleasant and decided to venture over to Charleston. We experienced the same good service and great food in the Charleston location, which we believe is the original location. Love the chips and salsa, margaritas and of course each of the entrees!

Anything you order will be awesome, seriously. I love the converted building. This is a favorite place to go with friends for the perfect, delicious dinner and the perfect atmosphere when I come to Charleston.

We went to Santi's for dinner.I read multiple superlative reviews for the restaurant in different places, so I was excited to eat there. First of all, the salsa is tomatoes with lots of onion. No cilantro or garlic flavor, just onion. I ordered the Queso Fundido. The cheese (Chihuahua) was very good but there almost 0 chorizo in the mix.... More

This has actually always been my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Charleston but they really dropped the ball today. We have been having rainy weather here so some the chairs outside were wet. My friend who is in her late 60's was attempting to swap our chairs and the busboy came up behind her with the chips and salsa...saw what... More

We lived in Charleston for over 10 years and this was a weekly favorite. I am a Mexican food junky and this is one of the closest to traditional Mexican you can find in the area with the best Margarita in town to wash it down. I would suggest Mama's Speciality and put all the lovely toppings they give on... More

We had dinner at Santi's 2 nights ago. I would have rather communicated with the staff there one on one instead of giving them a bad review, but they hardly made themselves available. Inside seating was very loud, so we sat outside, which was nice. Our waiter (gentleman with the beard and accent) was in a miserable mood, never smiled,... More

My husband and I went to Santi's and took his mother. We had raved about it in the past, so wanted to take her for a fun night out. We got there and were rushed from the time we sat down. Our waiter was terrible! He didn't crack a smile, rushed us to order, and was obviously trying to get... More

Friends who live in Charleston took me to Santi's since its their favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. It was very authentic, with excellent guacamole, salsa and chips. I had mama's soup which was very good. My friends enjoyed the tacos and burritos. If you want a break from Southern food in Charleston, this is the place to go.

Still one of the best for Mexican in Charleston. Very fresh and authentic cuisine. Everything is good, fresh chips and guacamole.

Want to hang with the locals in Mt Pleasant?? Come for the excellent chips and guacamole, and the even more excellent margaritas. Beware-- they are made strong, and drinking more than one on a hot day will definitely make you woozy. The Fro Burriti and Wet Burrito are both very well done. Skip the soups--they aren't as good as the... More
