Great food and atmosphere but on the loud side...

Enjoyed a delicious meal here on a very busy night in Charleston (eve of College of Charleston graduation). Had no problem getting a table for two in this very nice looking restaurant. The atmosphere is great but a little on the loud side but once we were seated the noise around us seemed to be... read more

As a cute couple, we stopped in for some vino & an appetizer, we sat in bar area by windows after someone had just left (crowded bar area), had to wait a little while for a waiter to spot us, once ordered & served (a little long again) we had great cheese plate & vino. No problems with the food... More

I hope that my excellent review is not a result of the fact that a group of twenty of us came over from happy hour at High Cotton, but I can't think of anything negative. The wine list was interesting and affordable; the service was prompt and courteous. I do recall the place being a little loud, but then again... More

Went to Social because all the more well known places were booked after CofC grad. Well we'd def go back. It's a bit of a young hipster place, but great selection of wines- but the good was the real surprise. Excellent!! Nick was our waiter and his recommendations were spot on. It's fun and good.

Looking around Charleston for a night spot for a drink. Got it! This wine bar is funky, relaxing and inviting. Sitting here on a warm spring night, the windows are open, the music's playing and the bartender's wine suggestion was dead on the money! Salud!

We stopped by Social late our last night in Charleston and it was the perfect spot. Busy, but not too loud. Nice selection of wines available and the kitchen was still open late. The perfect spot to end a night.

My wife and I love this place. We make it a point to stop in every time we're in Charleston. It's in a great location on East Bay near some fabulous restaurants, but it's more than just a wine bar. They have great food, and pizzas, along with wonderful wines by the glass and bottle. This is our favorite wine... More

Social Restaurant has a bar and distinct restaurant area. I prefer the bar as it has more ambiance. Interesting appetizers and excellent pizzas (thin crust). Fairly priced wine though they also have some high priced ones if you're feely rich that day. Good value for money - been there 3 times in last 3 months as convenient and easy to... More

We chose this restaurant/bar because we were hungry due to our flight delay and getting in to Charleston so late. A passenger on our flight had told us about places to eat, drink, see, etc. He explained to us that the streets in Charleston were named for the activity. Meeting Street is filled with restaurants and bars because people can... More
