My husband and I ate at the Oak on 4/3/14. Our waiter was very unfriendly and unhelpful. We had to ask other waitstaff for service. The bill for entree's only was over $130!!! The steak was mediocre at best. Some many other places in Charleston was may better, do not spend your money here. The atmosphere is also more like... More

I've never been to Charleston before but made reservations here to celebrate my fiancés graduation from Special Forces. He had just gotten out of the field that morning and we came straight here to celebrate. Right away Jerrod took amazing care of us. Then Michelle the General manager came over and introduced herself and told us not to forget about... More

I've been here a few times but had to come and check out the newly added CAB Prime Dry aged steaks from Master Purveyors. Needless to say I'm a meathead if that actually means something to me but... It's a killer steak. Brilliantly funky, wine-y, and slightly musky--in a good way. We did apps of Steak Tartare and seared scallops.... More

Charleston has so many fabulous Restaurant's and this is not one. It is more of a loud local watering hole. Last night was the worst. A very loud local came in and after manhandling the poor embarrassed Hostess, he then proceeded t make a buffoon of himself. Loud and unruly. No one from Management approached him until my husband and... More

For Valentine's Day, my girlfriend chose Oak Steakhouse. We entered at 9pm and were promptly seated. For Valentine's Day we expected more "private" seating. We were closely seated next to two other couples. That did not dissuade us from a great meal. The food was superbly cooked and presented. The 16oz Ribeye was the best steak I have ever consumed.... We regularly visit the Charleston SC area and have eaten at many restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived at Oak the service, atmosphere and food were exceptional. Each course was amazing and the presentation was equally as good. We would highly recommend Oak and would not hesitate to return when we visit again. A+

I have had fried lobster before but not like this. The cut it in half and deep fry it and serve it with warm melted butter. There bone in Rib eye was good but I felt it was a might bit to salty for my taste. The atmosphere was much more comfortable here than at Halls Chop House, the crowds... More

This place is special! I met some friends while visiting Charleston. My hotel suggested here. The restaurant is beautiful! We sat on the third floor (No worries there is an elevator with chairs, it is a long ride). Beside a beautiful fire we drank wine and ate a delicious meal.
