The Cheese plate is to die for. Inside is unique. The bar is nice. Food is pricy but good. right next to the market. Id say go for lunch.

I live in Columbia and we travel to Tristan just for date night. She Crap Soup the best in the South, but everything on the menu is fantastic. Service is perfection.

We enjoyed Tristan greatly while we stayed in the French Quarter Inn (Tristan is on the ground floor). The menu takes a little explanation as you choose from several small plates depending on haw many courses you choose. The server was flexible on one choice and we fully understood our options. Service was excellent and the food the same. While... More

Having not been to Tristan for a year and having heard about the new tapas type menu, we went to dinner on a Saturday night and were very pleased. After sharing a cheese board we picked the four course offering with the wine paring, which between the two of us let us try all six of the first three course... More

Easy sophistication. Been all around the world and the best meal I have had in the US. European quality. Delicate tastes and yet a light meal.

We had a very lovely dinner. Nice environment. The service was impeccable - down to offering lemon or lime for one's drink. The choices were very nouvelle cuisine, I believe. There was a fixed price menu - depending on the number of courses. The food looked beautiful and was inventive. The server was perfect. We had another engagement, told her,... More

We had the seven course tasting and it did not disappoint! Each course was tasty and well prepared. Was stuffed afterwards! Our server was phenominal. I was surprised the place was empty on a Saturday night... well worth another visit!

In a city filled with great restaurants, Tristan stands out as one of the best....right up there with those in our favorite restaurant cities/areas: New York and Sonoma. Friendly and very attentive staff. Well trained to manage gluten free diet....even served gluten free bread.

Three of us (friends & neighbors) ordered the 4-course $40 prix fixe menu; the other three ordered 3 courses ala carte. The food was interesting and quite tasty, and in some cases " different". The lead server explained each dish in detail. The service was superb. On occasion I've deconstructed restaurant offerings and concluded, "I could do that." Such was... More
