Good, kid friendly, open atmosphere

Got a coupon from a Charleston Gateway representative on the street for a free appetizers for the Noisy oyster. We had 4 adults and two kids so we wanted somewhere that was kid friendly. Noisy oyster was open air with large ceiling fans circulating. It was really hot out, but these offered a cooler... read more

We love trying out places to eat in Charleston. We are rarely disappointed because Charleston restaurants are mostly wonderful and unique. The Noisy Oyster reminded me of a large chain restaurant (even though it isn't). A lot of times large chain restaurants mass produce so much food that the flavor seems to diminish... The food at Noisy Oyster lacked that... More

Very average food, borderline skimpy servings for no less of a cost than comparable restaurants in the area, but in a great location. Located across the street from Market St. you are in a convenient area, but you are also close to so many amazing restaurants, we are unlikely to return. Open windows provide a great view of the area... More

The crab dip was oh so good! The waitress was great! I ordered the shrimp and grits and they had entirely too much cajun seasoning. My husband had the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. The stuffing was not good. I thought I was going to enjoy the open air resturant until a lady walked right up to the window and our... More

I have to hand it to our server #Steph. She offered suggestions for possible eats. As luck would have it LOVED the fired green tomatoes with parmesan and garlic grits. For dessert, I would suggest the pecan bourbon pie w/chocolate chips and warmed. Yum!

Me and my Lady and seen this restaurant before on a previous visit to Charleston. We finally tried and are glad we did! It's an open air restaurant with no a/c and is usually quite loud with many people, including children, are enjoying themselves and the food. A typical beach-side eatery that I grew up patronizing. The prices are very... More

Absolutely the worse bartender in the world. Jesse ignored us after we sat down at the bar and found talking with the waitress more important. He finally acknowledged we were seated. We ordered a a sweet tea and beer and he made it look like he was working so hard. He never followed up and asked how our drinks were... More

The décor is on point. We are sailors and loved the feeling as if we haven't stepped off our boat. Joshua was our server and he was great.

You know most of the reviews i write are of the pleasent nature. First hostess was great but thats where it ends. All down hill after that. Server could not keep up. Food thrown on plate had there signature item the seafood combo plate presentation was very poor grilled. Fish cold oysters and shrimp very small. The first side grits... More

We had an excellent server and enjoyed our afternoon so much that we returned to ask him help us enjoy dinner. We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes with Parmesan-garlic grits. Best appetizer we have ever had anywhere! No, there's no air conditioning, but that keeps the whiners away so you can just enjoy people watching over at the market... More
