My husband, infant son and I had dinner at the Noisy Oyster on a Tuesday night. We ordered the she crab soup, dozen raw oysters, hot crab, shrimp and parmesan dip and the shrimp and grits entree. The she crab soup and oysters were average. The hot dip was nothing special and the tortillas that came with it were too... more
Ate here on our trip visiting Charleston because it was recommended by a local guy. The oysters were small, and arrived long after our hot food, the drinks must have been virgin, and one was adorned with at least 4 inches of whipped cream instead of filling the glass. How can you mess up a daiquiri and a margarita that... more
We really enjoyed our trip to Charleston, but I must say, the best part of it was our visit to the Noisy Oyster on Market Street. Carlene was our bartender and she was absolutely wonderful! Everything she recommended was great! There was a group there that said they have come back every year for the past three years just to... more
I don't know why this restaurant is off the radar for most visitors. It is locally owned and operated and right in the heart of downtown. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and it is cool enough out, they open the sides of the restaurant and it is very breezy and inviting. The only thing I have had here is... more
My girlfriend and I had a Friday night dinner here about a month ago and were very pleased with the visit. Good food, great server, decent price, not too long a wait to be seated, very convenient (adjacent to the market.) A bit noisy (true to their name) and the food took a bit longer than we would have liked,... more
We ate here for lunch last Saturday. We ordered the crab cake melt, shrimp quesadilla, half dozen raw oysters, half dozen raw clams. The quesadilla was quite good, but we hated the melt. It was about 85% filling, and we really didn't like the sauce on it either. It just wan't good. Both the raw oysters and clams were horrible.... more
This location of the Noisy Oyster franchise is definitely off my list of places that I'd recommend in Downtown Charleston. I gave the place one, last chance to redeem itself when my out of town relatives wanted to go there for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. There were five of us - three adults, one child and one infant (read:... more
We went to lunch here the first day we were in Charlston and had their scallops and oysters. Yum-o. Temder, sweet, melt in your mouth. Service was excellent. Go if you get a chance. more
Never had a bad meal here, even if it is a local chain. more
