While walking during lunchtime on a business trip, as we were sweating profusely and looking for a quick lunch we walked into Joe Pasta on King St. We expected an Olive Garden -- boy were we wrong... We were warmly greeted by DJ, the bartender where we decided to sit for lunch. He was a wealth of information for tourists.... More

Service was horrible and I've finally found a place that can screw up an order of plain spaghetti for my 3 year old. Oh yeah, and it took 30 minutes to get it. Charleston is known for too many great places to have this place still in business.

I must admit that due to the mixed reviews, Joe Pasta was not on our list of" must eat" places. But there it was right in front of us on a hot and humid June afternoon. Its great location in the middle of King St. (428) on a corner, makes it a great stop during a day of shopping or... More

I visited at the recommendation of our hotel ( Hampton Inn). Big mistake. We waited over 5 minutes to be seated. No one even acknowledged us as they walked by multiple times. The food was good but took well over an hour to get a pizza, sandwich and salad. The waiter, Gerard, did not acknoledge the wait, we needed to... More

The margarita pizza was really good but their "large" pies are meant for two people to share, not three unless you want someone to stay hungry. My waitress was okay she just wasn't taught manners or had any want to explain anything to us. Most restaurants give you complimentary bread to hold your stomach until food arrives but they actually... More

We should have taken a cue from the grumpy bartender/host who looked like we just ruined his day by choosing to eat at his restaurant. We sat outside on the sidewalk tables and once we finally ordered we thought things would be okay. We ordered our pasta around 2:30 and it took more than an hour to get our food.... More

My husband and I took our kids here. We each ordered the lasagna, while my oldest son ordered the kids pizza, and my youngest had their kids mozzarella sticks meal. The lasagna was delicious, cheese sticks were fine, but my son did not like the pizza. He said, "the cheese tastes funny". I tasted it, and it was good to... More

My friend and I both ordered the chicken Parmesan at Joe's Pasta in downtown Charleston, SC. We frequently order this meal at restaurants. We both agree that it was the best chicken parmesan we have ever had. The piece of chicken was huge, and it was served with a huge serving of pasta (I think spaghetti) and sauce. Also, we... More

The waiter was extremely rude. Basically ran past every table so no one had any chance of saying anything to him. I also wanted my check split between cash and card, but he pocketed my twenty something dollars and ran my card for the full amount. It's my own fault for not double checking the receipt, but he still must... More
