We decided to try some southern BBQ and we were so pleased! The food was wonderful. We all ordered a variety and shared! Everything was so great! The ribs, the pulled pork, the cole slaw, the sweet potatoes all awesome!

This place was so good we ate there twice in 24 hours! The chopped pork was amazing and so were all the trimmings we tried. We ranked the sides with the coleslaw being the best, then sweet potatoes, beans, onion rings, then Mac and cheese. The cornbread was to die for and if all that goodness wasn't enough.... The banana... More

Ehhh, this bbq is what to expect with a fast food bbq place. Prices are really high, rubbery pulled pork, hard stringy ribs, looked like they ironed the cheeseburgers, mac n cheese was actually ok if you like the cottage cheese texture type. Unorganized, people walking around yelling numbers, management screaming at the employees. Not really interested in going back,... More

We've got several delicious local choices, but Melvin's is the best! Many good sauces (which they make and sell), deliciously prepared EVERY time, and an great family atmosphere for a small fast BBQ spot. Elevate it on your list, and DINE IN!

We heard about Melvin's so decided to stop by when we were in the area. The ribs were fantastic. Some of the best we've ever had. Very moist and meaty. They are known for their yellow sauce, but I actually liked their red sauce better. We call their onion ring and Onion Donut - it was mostly dough but was... More

My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a quick bite to eat before our movie started at the theater. We had never heard of this place but we decided to give it a try. We ordered the pulled pork bbq with the country hash and rice, cornbread and those famous onion rings. The cornbread was... More

Just came from Melvin's and I'm mad we didn't go here sooner ! Got a coupon so we decided to go. I had ribs with butter beans and collards and hubby had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. I really loved the mustard based sauce on my ribs. My husband said his hamburger and rings were terrific. He is known... More
