Our reservations at High Cotton were made through our concierge at the Vendue. He (Robbie) let them know we were celebrating an anniversary and we were treated like royalty at High Cotton. We had grouper, crab and flounder and all were cooked and served to perfection. Can get a little busy but there are many tables set to give you... More

My wife and I came to Charleston for a quick visit in July. We ate at several nice establishments, including Circa 1886. The food we had at High Cotton was, by far, the best. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had the crab cakes. We enjoy traveling the country eating at very nice establishments, so we feel... More

What a great way to end the night. We went to the bar for drinks and apps. And luckily there was a really cool trio band playing kinda bluegrass, jazzy, lounge music. Drinks were fantastic. Bartenders went above board to help us with selections and ideas. Martinis and fancy cocktails average about $10. Would love to go back and have... More

I have had the opportunity to eat here three times, once with customers, once with friends and once with my wife, and I have never had a bad bite of anything. I would even tell you that their charcuterie is the one of the best I have ever had The wait staff has always been excellent, the meals have always... More

My husband had a gazpacho champagne peach soup special. Interesting. For dinner, I and shrimp and grits which was very good. My husband, the landlubber, had lamb which was cooked to perfection. Delish drinks and peach cobbler as well!

One of the better restaurants in town. Not quite up to the ilk of Fig or Husk, but close. A nice front room, with excellent servers, and a great location. My wife had a kale salad, while I started with the soup of the day. We split a low country boil, which is a good way to sample a range... More

Enjoyed a business dinner there last night. Bar area is small but very cozy and welcoming. Dining area is full of southern charm and open to the kitchen. Our server was great, very attentive, but also took great care to not rush us. Fun cocktails, nice wine selection. My pork chop was the best I have had in a long... More

We visited High Cotton for my Birthday and they made it special from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess, manager, waitress and other servers were all wonderful. The food was beyond excellent and the chef's specials are highly recommended. The chef even made a souffle at my request for my birthday. I highly recommend this restaurant as... More

My wife and I along with our close friends shared our anniversaries at High Cotton. It was an excellent night with all four of us enjoying our meals and atmosphere. A truly excellent experience.

Many choices of regional cuisine in an authentic Southern restaurant. The food and the service were both very good.
