We met a friend here for brunch as it was conveniently located on E. Bay Street, near our hotel. The three of us agreed that the Crab Benedict and the Shrimp and Grits dishes were excellent. Good ambiance, reasonable prices and good service. After brunch, we went across the street to a great kitchen store – Cook’s. That was a... More

Went for dinner. Could not get past the appetizers on the menu. Everything looked so good that we ordered five appetizers and skipped dinner, The soup was great as well as the fried oysters and the cheese board was excellent.

Pleasantly surprised with our dinner the other night at High Cotton on East Bay Street. They explain in detail how they select the freshest of foods for their various menu items and how they work with the local farms. It pays off for them as the food is exceptional, the selection quite good and the taste will make sure you... More

Had heard some good things about this restaurant, and having had the opportunity to eat at many of Charleston's restaurants, from casual to upscale, we were excited to finally eat at High Cotton. What a letdown!! When you combine truly average food with premium prices, plus portions which were tiny, you really have a major dining disappointment. Of our three... More

Excellent service and mouth watering meal made a birthday dinner one to remember. Michele B made outstanding recommendations and the kitchen kept every one of her promises. Going on a Sunday evening made everything very relaxed and enjoyable. We loved it.

I planned a dinner here for 14 clients that were meeting in Charleston. We were in the main dining room, but on the far side, so it was semi-private. Even though we had a group that size, they still let us order off the menu, which was very nice. All my clients loved the food and the service was great!

The restaurant was superb. It was suggested by our concierge to celebrate our anniversary and we were not let down. Our waiter was awesome with great suggestions. This was our first restaurant in Charleston and it was a very hard one to follow. My halibut outstanding!

My family and I had brunch here and it was most enjoyable. It was 13 of us and we all enjoy good food and atmosphere. High Cotton for Sunday Brunch fit the bill. Our food was great the drinks were tasty and we enjoyed our experience immensely. We will be back!

Sunday is always a good day in Charleston, all though Charleston is known as “The Holy City”, with several hundred churches and some dating back to the 1600’s, I was referring to Brunch. I have always enjoyed Brunch, nothing against church, but I like to sleep in on Sunday’s, well sleep in most days lol, but on Sunday I like... More
