We have dined at Charleston Grill 2 previous times, once in 2003 and again in 2010; both times the food and the experience were good. So when we searched for a restaurant to celebrate my husband's 71st birthday in Charleston we again chose the Grill. The different format to the menu, a new chef, and several intriguing sounding items on... More

We have been to a lot of amazing restaurants around the world and Charleston Grill definitely ranked in the top 5 dining experiences. Dining room was elegant, staff was attentive, and tasting menu was amazing! Every course was superb and while the mid-tier and top tier wine pairing weren't cheap (they were downright expensive) the wines were awesome. Wines that... More

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the wait staff - personable yet professional, they exuded welcome and justifiable pride in what Charleston Grill has to offer diners. The imaginative "mix and match" menu was inspiring and flexible, the wine list made us gasp at first but had several less expensive options upon closer inspection. We thoroughly enjoyed... More

Dinner was really delicious with choices from simple to creative. They were happy to make adjustments based upon my food allergies. You'll want to be dressed up, forget the jeans at home. They had a jazz band playing which made the atmosphere even better. It's so rare to have live music and no TVs these days! I would highly recommend... More

From start to finish, incomparable. Excellent service. Great ambience. Jazz band in the dining room. Food...delicious. Tasty crab cakes. Perfect lamb chops. A little pricey, but worth it.

Had the rack of lamb this week. My number one favorite restaurant within my favorite hotel! The staff is warm and friendly and you won't be disappointed with the menu selections!

Everything is top notch at this restaurant. This is an elegant restaurant serving great food. Waiters are very knowledgeable. Atmosphere is relaxing - jazz ensemble playing. Worth going to - keep in mind it is pricey.

A top notch dining experience. Of course you will pay the price for this experience as well but you know that going in. Service and food was excellent. Lots of attention. Also a great Jazz Band plays in the corner for extra added ambiance. Make reservations early to get your desired time. The filet mignon melted in our mouths.

Its been a little while since I've been to the Charleston Grill, and each time I go, usually with my wife, we ask ourselves why we don't go more frequently. I had an early dinner with a young friend who had celebrated his 16th birthday the week before. I had called and asked Mickey Bakst (GM and wonderfull host) for... More
