We visited with family and friends Labor Day Weekend. The place is pretty. Service was good but food was just ok. The best plate was the foie gras appetizer was to die for. I had the thai fish which was not good. My wife had the filet and crab cake which was just ok. Not very memorable.

Chef Weaver is outstanding! The location and ambiance are superb. This is Charleston's finest dining. We lived in Charleston for 30 years and go back specifically to dine here. There are many high end Market area venues that charge extreme but deliver average dining. Charleston Grill has always made the evenings memorable. It does not ever disappoint.

This was a very nice meal with an excellent wine list. The location is beautiful and the decor is well done. The menu offered a lot of variety and they executed these options very well. The wait staff were very nice but it seemed at times a little stretched. The live music was also very enjoyable and made the ambiance... More

The food and ambiance is excellent. The wait staff are attentive to detail and very friendly. The wine list is good, but is a bit high priced. One of the best meals that we had in Charleston.

We chose the Charleston Grill because it's rating on Trip Advisor. We loved the ambience and the jazz quartet. The wait staff was excellent. It very well could have been our palates but we were slightly disappointed was the food. My friend loved the red snapper dish and I enjoyed the pork chop. One of my friends ordered the steak... More

Hubby and I just finished dinner at the a Charleston Grill. I think the name is a misnomer because it is far from being a grill. Service was impeccable without being overbearing and/or obsequious. All the staff were friendly. At one point the hubby dropped a bit of butter on his shirt. We kiddingly asked for a Tide Stick, but... More

I know it's not readily believable when people write that sort of thing but I am an ex-chef from NYC and the Charleston Grill was one of my top ten meals ever; and I've eaten at some of the best places all over the world. The staff and chef were just outstanding from the perfectly cooked quail to the seared... More

(IMPORTANT NOTE: This dining experience was a tremendous success, but we accidentally averted potential disaster beforehand. A member of our party decided to cancel, so I phoned Charleston Grill to modify our reservation. During that call I learned that our dinner reservation had been confirmed for 6:30 rather than the 7 PM time I had requested when booking it online... More

My wife and I sampled many of Charleston's best restaurants over the course of two weeks -- sometimes with the kids, sometimes without. Charleston Grill was the setting for our special night out, and met every single one of our expectations. Our server, Lisa, was outstanding, and helped us navigate an inventive menu that offers more choices than a week... More
