Plan on spending 100 a person and I don' t recommend ordering any sides. There will be plenty of food?
The Charleston Grill was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Charleston. The ambiance, food and service are impeccable. The jazz combo in the corner was the perfect compliment to the beautiful room. The restaurant to centrally located and easy to find. There is public parking available right around the corner. I can heartily recommend The Charleston Grill.
We were staying in the hotel and reserved in advance. We could only get the 6pm slot, but hoped to change it for later. We stopped by earlier in the day on our way out and were glad that they accommodated us and changed it for 7pm. Little extra time to sightsee and prepare for dinner. We thought the restaurant... More
We celebrated my 60th birthday here. It was everything i could have wished for. From the moment we arrived i was treated like royalty and even got free sparkling desert wine served at the end of the meal. Food was exceptional.
After having had dinner yesterday at the Peninsula Grill, the six of us were here this evening. Another great choice with great service and equally good food. Wait staff in Charleston are invariably polite, but here they were a step above, as was the case yesterday. Two examples: one of us wanted a White Lady cocktail, a drink she'd had... More
See Wakenwalk review senior contributor 2014 review below. I think my husband and I felt similarly. The service was great, althou over the top. Descriptions of the food were far better than the food itself. Our wine pairings by our waiter were very good. The food, not so good. We had Thai snapper and better Thai in Washington DC. Also... At the King St end of shopping mall, and part of the hotel, this place is an elegant and upscale establishment. Every thing is near perfect, except that I do object to paying $55 for a lobster/pasta dish that held no more than 2 oz of lobster, especially when it is currently so cheap at the trade level!
Charleston grill exudes wood paneled elegance in an old south city. Yet, the menu is refreshingly up to date. Brilliant presentation, attentive but nosy overbearing service, and a menu that caters to every taste. I recommend it highly!
It has been a few years since we have been to Chaleston and wanted to return to our favorite eatery and it was just as good as we remember. This is an overall wonderful dinning experience, the Atmosphere, food and service results in a memorable evening. I would never go to Charleston a miss a chance to eat here. With... More
There are a lot of fabulous places to eat in Charleston. Charleston Grill is one of, if not THE best. It is truly a wonderful and special place, and every time I have gone there - whether for drinks, a client dinner, date night, or, most recently, a family birthday party- I have never left disappointed. The food is marvelous,... More
