Fantastic!!!!

One of the only restaurants we've visited in Charleston that has a gluten-free menu with really good selections. My wife and I settled on the Jambalaya which was generously portioned and very tasty. My oldest daughter got a grilled Parmesan chicken breast on arugula. She said it was cooked... read more

Southern food done to perfection. Large portions of traditional and more modern specialties. Some vegetarian options, but not many.

This was our second time at Magnolias, The food was just as good as the last visit. This is an upscale spot that has a southern spin on traditional items and just plain southern options(Shrimp and Grits). From The boiled peanut hummus to the fried Mac & Cheese you cant go wrong. Good food great service a worth wile stop... More

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I ate here for the first time. We all ordered a different entree, and it was all great! I had the parmesan crusted flounder which was wonderful, but my husband had the halibut which, I think, was the best. Portions are generous too. You won't leave disappointed or hungry!

Magnolia's was one of the first places everyone said we should eat on our first visit to Charleston. Make reservations in advance. Good wine selection, nice choice of a variety of foods. We will definitely come back!

Prior to going here, we were afraid it would be an upscale tourist trap. We are so glad we kept our reservation. Everything we ate was phenomenal. We started with the scallops and fried green tomatoes. Both were excellent. Our entrees were the ahi tuna and the flounder. I was afraid I would be underwhelmed with flounder but both dishes... I had been wanting to try Magnolia for dinner because of all the hype I read. My husband and I ordered the crab cake appetizer-which we both thought were amazing. My husband didn't care for the crab bisque-it was very heavy. We ordered the jambalaya and bouillabaisse and shared. I thought both were very tasty albeit similar. We also ordered... More

Well, actually Shellfish and Grits because it also includes lobster and scallops. The flavor was unbelievable. Be sure to save room for the pecan pie too.

Someone told us this is the best place for amazing/"upscale" food that welcomes small kids. We felt welcomed the whole time, they accommodated our kids. The food is just amazing! The warm potato salad that came with my NY strip was mouth watering. Our party had everything from steak to seafood to the fried chicken. Everyone was very pleased!

Haven t been to Magnolia's in years, but had a gift card that I decided to use for a lunch with my visiting 19 year old granddaughter. So glad I did! I had reservations, so we were seated promptly and James, our server, was appropriately attentive. Granddaughter ordered the fried mac and cheese appetizer, which I thought would be gross,... More
