Yummy food and fun cocktails. The fried green tomatoes app was outstanding. For lunch, I had the shrimp and grits. It was good but swimming in sauce. My husband had the pulled pork which had a bit too much mustard for his taste. Magnolia Mint Julip was excellent.

Magnolias is by far one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Charleston. The service, food and experience is the epitome of southern charm. I've never eaten anything here that I did not love! Always, always, always save room for dessert. Also, the cocktails/wine are great as well. This restaurant is a Charleston must!!

We were in Charleston and went on a walking tour. Our guide recommended Magnolias. Are we glad she did! She recommended the fried green tomatoes. They were breaded and delicately fried. Between the 3 tomatoes were slices of country ham. This was topped with a tomato chutney that was outstanding. Service was wonderful too.

Magnolias is a foodies delight, with authentic Southern charm in a beautifully restored 1800's house on the main drag of east Bay Street. The food and service were very good. The specialty of the house is the seafood medley over grits. The fresh flounder over vegetables and the grilled tuna were fabulous as well, proving you can eat healthy in... More

One of the better places I have been eating in Charleston so far. Nevertheless, I'd rate it against my European standards. Very nice cocktails at the bar, although there is not so much place to sit / stand and it's very crowded. Food is good, but not great or refined enough in comparison to the prices. Service was friendly, but... More

Excellent restaurant - hostess snotty. Called to ask dress code - Told business casual. We dressed accordingly only to find so many men wearing baseball caps, cut off jean shorts, t shirts etc. (some looked like they had just come off the beach) along with business casual dressed people. When we asked why were we told business casual, she said... More

The shellfish and grits was amazing, but save room for the white chocolate ice cream! The whole experience was wonderful. It's a pretty swanky place, but they treated me well even in my tourist clothes (not swanky!). The service was great, the food was excellent, and you can't beat the atmosphere.

Made reservations at this much publisized establishment. From the moment we arrived. It was first class and impressive. We came all the way from Texas just to eat there. We had the fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes and veggies. The dessert selection was over the top. The wine selection was very good as was the service. We highly recommend Magnolias... More
