Perfect lunch in historic district

My husband and I had lunch here our first day in Charleston and it was fabulous! The service was impeccable, the restaurant itself is lovely, and the food was phenomenal and well-priced. Would recommend as a "must try" in Charleston!

The food, service, and the ambiance, was par excellence! I had the Cedar Plank SALMON, WOW!!! It was fabulous! Another dish equally as good was the shrimp and grits. The secret is in the sauce.

We had a great meal at Magnolias and the wait staff very attentive. The decor was modern and pleasant to the eye. The dress code business casual. Our meals were seafood choices and done very tastefully. The grits were creamy and wonderful. The Fried Green Tomatoes was a rather large portion that could have been shared. They were really tasty.... More

We made reservations several weeks ago through Open Table and re confirmed a few days prior noting it was for two couples, one local and one out of town, for a birthday dinner. We were seated quickly but the table was in the far back near the exit door making it feel somewhat like we were being escorted to the... More

The wait for a mid week lunch was about 30 mins... The bread came out very quickly and the Fried Green Tomatoes was served promptly and were cooked spot on! My only complaint is that they must have had a mix up in our main order as we had to inquire a couple times and it took over 45 mins... More

Not only did the food make for a memorable day but Jay and Charles, who work at Magnolias, made our experience fabulous. Jay was a big help putting down a ramp out front so we could push our six year old nephew into the restaurant in his wheelchair. Charles was a wonderful server with a nice sense of humor. We... Wife asked to go here first night in Charleston. Decor, service, food all very, very good. You will not be disappointed. I think this is a place to dress up a little when dining, no jeans and a tee shirt, guys. Go to the Noisy Oyster down the street if you are dressed that way.

At 1:15 pm, the wai was 15-20 minutes soget there early. It was worth the wait! $53 for 2 including starter, meal and one local amber beer. Good ratio price/qualty and very... More

Another great place to dine!! Excellent atmosphere and location. Not a fan of the fried green tomatoes, but others liked them.
