Food worth paying for.

My husband and I lunched at Magnolia's on March 12, 2015. What a classy restaurant and their wait staff is wonderful. We sat near the front windows and since we had never been to Charleston, was a great location. For whatever reason, this very busy restaurant was not that noisy. We also had... read more

Our family recently had dinner here while vacationing in Charleston. We each ordered something different and we all thought our food was delicious. The crab cakes we ordered as an appetizer was hands down the best we've ever had and I'm still craving them again days later. The service was exceptional. Our waiter answered our questions and made suggestions as... More

Our visits to Charleston, usually once or twice a year, wouldn't be complete without enjoying a relaxing, wonderful dinner at Magnolias. We discovered it about 12 years ago, and have been going back ever since. Service is good, and the food is always a delight. This week we enjoyed the Seafood with Grits and the Bouillabaisse. Both were delicious. We... More

We had a delicious meal here, just as we did many years ago. The restaurant has only gotten better in the intervening years. Our waiter was enthusiastic and very, very helpful. Make time for this restaurant!

Had dinner here with the family on a busy Friday evening. Excellent food and service, nice wine list wonderful atmosphere! High on the places to return to, though it may be a while as there are so many places to try in Charleston!

Magnolias is across the street from SNOB, and it is hard to imagine two better restaurants for quintessential Charleston food. We had the Parmesan flounder, the rainbow trout, and the fried chicken, and all were great. As you can imagine, the fried green tomatoes were also great. The wine list is good and fairly (but not inexpensively) priced. There are... More

I didn't think this place could be as good as all the reviews said it would be... but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was efficient and friendly, bar was stocked, and the fried chicken was transcendent. A must-try if you're in Charleston.

Our meal was wonderful - loved the fried mac and cheese. I would highly recommend the crusted flounder - the combination of sweet corn, asparagus and sauce was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and gave great suggestions.

Beautiful downtown Charleston at it's best! What a wonderful meal and a great experience to finish our trip to Charleston. The waiter staff was exceptional. The food was divine! I can not say enough good things about this place. Every bite was superb! The Fried Green Tomatoes appetizers was delicious and I am not even a tomato fan. We will... More

This is an outstanding restaurant. We had both dinner and Sunday brunch and both were outstanding. Great location in the happening part of Charleston. Crusted flounder excellent and the huevos rancheros on the Sunday brunch were incredible. Will definitely be back.
