This was close to our B and B so we walked. We would recommend this to someone who wants good southern food for less money. This was recommended by our hostess. She told us it would be crowded but that the line moves fast. It was and it did. It is not fancy. Our table was next to some boxes... More

This place lived up to the hype. Most of us got the fried chicken and we couldn't believe how big the portions were. Next time I'm in Charleston, I'll be back, but maybe for the also famous meatloaf.

We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and was very good home cooked southern food. There was about a 15 minute wait, but it was worth it. If you like good home cooked food then this place is the best. We will again eat here and recommend it!

Went to enjoy lunch with family while here in Charleston. This is a casual drop in and the food is Southern homestyle. I ordered meat loaf which was good. Very moist and savory. One of our family ordered the fried chicken. I should have ordered it. She said it was the best fried chicken she'd ever had so I took... More

Best fried chicken I have had in a long time. Don't miss it. Also, the coconut custard pie and coca cola cake desserts were extremely good. Worth a trip. Expect to wait in line a while, but worth it.

My wife, and I had lunch here on July 3 after driving in from Fayetteville . It is everything that we heard. The fried chicken is fantastic. Better get here early because the line was out the door when we left. The pickles they bring to the table are an added bonus.

This would be my second visit here to get the jar of pickles and I am beyond upset. It is a 10 hour drive to get to this restaurant from my home town and the jar they gave me was missing ingredients and the pickles are falling apart just over a week later. You know the point where the cucumber... More

Pickled cucumbers were brought with our waters after we sat down. They were fresh tasting and slightly sweet. Very appetizing. We started with an order of cornbread which was warm and came with butter and honey drizzled on the plate. It had little bits of corn in it, which is my favorite way to have it. For our entrees, we... More

My family was in Charleston for one day and we wanted a restaurant near all the attractions and a place where the vegetarians in my group could find a few things to eat. Justine's met those requirements and more. From the gentle Blues music that drifts in the air to the sweet tea that hit the spot on a hot... More

We waited in line outside the restaurant for 30+ minutes, which is expected, but it was the wait inside for over 45 minutes for our food that was annoying. Also, I ordered a fish and chip basket. The menu said it comes WITH cole slaw and your choice of fries or okra. I ordered fries but when the meal came,... More
