Arrived just in time for lunch on Saturday. No wait right at noon, but it did fill up quickly. Great fried chicken, fried okra, and macaroni and cheese. Service was good albeit a little slow, but it was the lunchtime. Reasonable prices.

The food was good and the service quick. We were there at 4pm and did not have to wait. We had meatloaf, which was grilled, yum, gumbo, greens and sweet chicken with limas. Less than $20.

This might have been the best fried chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. Quite frankly, not much else was worth writing about. The collard greens were average. The mac and cheese was not good. The sweet tea was also average. I would return in a heartbeat for chicken.

We went to Jestine's on a recent Friday evening and the food was excellent - great local cuisine that's prepared the traditional Southern / Low Country way! The service was faultless and friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. There was a small line outside to get in but we waited only briefly for our table and were seated within... More

We went on a Thursday at 5pm, so we did not have to wait at all. We kept the locals around where to go for a great southern meal and everyone kept sending us to this place. We are so glad that we did. The service was great! Enjoy so much looking around their collection of salt and pepper shakers.... More

I had heard from several people to try this southern cooking so I was excited to visit. Wasn't impressed by the menu at all and with the items we ordered. There isn't a child's menu which is aggravating because the price and portions were too much for a child. The service was not great it was super slow and had... More

After waiting for 1 hour to be seated i was very excited as this has been higlighted on tv as well as papers/tourist guides. We ordered fried green tomatoes, they actuallu were the worst i have ever tried. They were inedible. I told waitress they werent good and she informed me that it was the consistency of The green tomatoes... More

Upside: location was easy to get to and food was pretty good. As one southerner to another it wasn't the best, but it was a filling meal. Pecan chicken was good and the fried chicken was too much to even think about eating. Downside: Had to wait around the corner outside for 30+ and wait inside for 30+ last night... More

We were told this is a landmark and we had to try it. We were very excited especially as we looked around and saw all the articles that were written about the food here. Our waiter told us that they were known for their fried chicken so we all ordered it. There certainly was enough, in fact we had lunch... More

This place was amazing! The food reminded me of Sunday dinners with my family, like my mom was the one who prepared the food but this was so much better. I had turkey and gravy with cornbread (try the corn bread, it's $0.75). My friends had the ham, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. They too were in love with... More
