Visited day we arrived in Charleston. Sunday evening around 5:45 w/o reservation. Waiter was very helpful. Great wine pairings - great food. Definitely worth the price.

From the minute we walked in I knew it would be different yet special. Beautiful bar in a separate room we did not know about but would go back and sip an Old Fashion. The menu is farm to table and our meals were outstanding. It does change seasonally, I yearn for the sunchoke side dish..I have never tasted anything... More

McCrady's has a sophisticated mix of flavors that raises the food to an excellent level. There is nothing simple and none of the food is overpowering. Even the salad - radicchio, blood orange beets and yogurt, was different from the usual vinaigrette and greens. My wife got the beef tartar which is the best she's had and I got a... More

Group of 4 of us went for a late dinner. Did the tasting menu and we weren't disappointed. One of our group had food allergies and they were very accommodating in letting him substitute certain parts of the menu. Each course was described with great detail, and it was amazing how each little part of the dish could completely change... More

My wife took me to McCrady's for a birthday dinner. This is modern dining at its finest. We did not do the tasting menu. We picked out five dishes that we shared followed by dessert that we shared. Our savvy server Christian arranged the five dishes into two courses and worked with us in selecting wines for pairing for each... More

We went as part of a group dinner. There was probably 75-100 of us in the upstairs banquet room. The food was wonderful and I know how hard it is to serve that many people at one time. I always say, if they do a good job with a banquet, then individual dining is usually out of this world. The... More

We had a wonderful meal at McCrady's. But we knew what to expect. This is not a place to experience traditional local dishes (comfort food, large portions). This is also not a basic steakhouse or seafood restaurant with a menu divided into appetizers, soups and salads, and mains. This is Charleston's version of high-end modern tasting menu cuisine -- 3... More

We went for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Morgan, was delightful and the food was phenomenal. We did the tasting menu, which I highly recommend as a way to see the rest of what the chef does. Service was elegant but friendly.

Its a lovely location although a little hidden, but beautiful inside. The menu has lots of options, but they are very small so its a challenge to figure out what to order - the tasting menu is the solution! Each dish is exquisitely presented and the tastes are wonderfully thought out. They are small so the total of 7 courses... More

I have been working in television for many years and a lot of the programs I have worked on are food related. While this doesn't make me a culinary expert, it does give me a broad perspective and insight. My dining companions (my wife and her sister) are very well traveled and have extensive global restaurant experiences. I mention this... More
