No matter how good I remember McCrady's being -- they seem to out-do themselves on the next visit. (I believe this was our 5th visit.) Go there. Don't even think about missing it. And, ask for the quiet table for two by the kitchen.

The only recognizable word \ thing on the menu was "chicken" so, I ordered it . . . and got two bites of a $65.00 chicken finger. The rest of the fare was unidentifiable spots of tasteless somethings scattered about the plate. I can say all of their overpriced MRE's came with EXCELLENT service. Take it from a local, grab... A great dining experience! My wife and I recently enjoyed dinner here and have nothing but rave reviews. This restaurant put us beyond our culinary comfort zone and it was very rewarding. Most of the menu items are from locally grown famers or from specialty small farmers from around the US. The service was superb and nothing was missed. Highly... More

I know - what can I say constructively after I have given it all away in the title? I had read about Sean Brock in a Food & Wine article that described his efforts to re-introduce low country origins back into the cuisine. I made a couple of the recipes that accompanied the article and was thrilled to have dinner... More

I hemmed and hawed about whether to keep the reservation for my husband and I and our Moms(80's) because of the price and only the price. The reviews are outstanding and I was curious and wanted the Moms to experience it. The building is beautiful and historic just like I wanted. The service very good and the food - near... More

This was the best meal I had in Charleston. The prix fixe four-course menu was amazing. The fish course was absolutely lovely. Sean Brock's food absolutely made the trip for me.

Truly one of he best meals we have ever had in the US. McCrady's is must not only for phenomenal food - but for the history that is behind every dish. Coming from NYC - we found the prix fixe more than fair for the meal. The amount of food was just right without being overwhelming. Every course was a... More

At first entrance into the restaurant, I noticed the beautiful paintings on the walls,I assume they change. The whole experience was artistic. Sean Brock is a pointillist of cuisine. He takes care to give you small bites on each plate that the diner can combine in their own way and combinations to let each plate give many different tastes. Their... More

McCrady's was suggested to us by our kids on our recent visit to Charleston. From the moment we arrived to when we left about two hours later, we enjoyed the cordial service, a four course dinner and great wines. The atmosphere of dining in a restored 18th century historic building helped. What distinguished this dinner for me was the Sommelier's... More
