Greatly enjoyed dinner at Five Loaves. Ordered the chicken Marsala which was very tender and a beautiful presentation with spinach and fresh tomatoes. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. Waitress very friendly and the owner came around a couple of times to check on us. Overall a wonderful visit

Read the reviews of this place so decided to try it. Was not sorry. It was raining out so not very crowded the night we went. I ordered the braised tips with garlic mashed potatoes and my date had summer squash ravioli with a cream sauce. We were both VERY satisfied with our meals. The server was very friendly and... More

This was the perfect spot for dinner while in Charleston. Food was fresh and fabulous - staff was friendly. The night we went they had 1/2 price bottles of wine - so bonus for us!! You won't be disappointed by Five Loaves is a delight!

Ok, so I live in Charleston, and I love being a foddie. Ok so lets start of with Five Loaves, a big time hang out for CofC students. Great for couples. It is small and has a fairly decent menu. I will put it this way they do not serve anything "hard" only beer, and wine. Their options are extensive,... More

I grab lunch from Five Loaves about once a month and have never been disappointed. My favorite is to get a 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. It is the perfect amount of food to fill you up, but not be so full you can't move. Everything is so tasty and fresh. Can't go wrong here.

Great find during Restaurant Week in Charleston. Menu gave us selection of appetizer, entre and dessert. My son and I started with with tomato crab tarragon soup (not part of the week menu). It was pretty good, although the crab portion was skimpy. My wife had a shrimp salad with a raspberry vinaigrette and I had flat bread with pumpkin... More

This was our first meal upon arriving in the food town of Charleston. We were here during restaurant week in September, 2014. This is a funky, homey place that has that college town, college student feel to it. Friendly, efficient staff with a cheerful atmosphere. We had reservations, recommended for this small place, and were promptly seated. I had the... More

Went with my family, 9 of us, so we were a little cramped. Food was good although my fish was a little tough, over cooked, which could be the type I had. Beer list is limited but mostly local brews. They do try to do all farm to table. It's a small house in a neighborhood so reservations a warranted.

We had a lovely Sunday Brunch at Five Loaves last week. The atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing, and the food and service were excellent.
