This was our first meal in Charleston - it was lunch with friends. It was casual - all of the food was fresh, flavorful and tasty. Loved the idea of being able to mix and match everything on the menu! All in all, it was a wonderful first meal in Charleston!

My husband and I regularly visit this restaurant. We always have wonderful food, wonderful service... We love trying the specials and have tried most things on the menu. However, they have recently implemented a completely new menu that we think falls short. We came in for dinner hoping to have some Five Loaves classics that never disappoint, such as the... More

We decided to try five loaves when we were in the area and couldn't decide where to go. We went to tripadvisor.com and saw the restaurant was close to where we were. The portions were great! My husband got a roast beef sandwich and I went for the portobello & goat cheese sandwich with a small spinach, mozerella and onion... More

This restaurant is a 10-minute walk from the "main action" on King St., but well worth the effort. Many previous reviews seem to have been at lunchtime, but we were there for dinner. Healthy, refreshing offerings. All 4 of us enjoyed our choices. Arriving early worked perfectly; when we left, there were a lot of people waiting.

Excellent menu, we had a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal! You can mix and match soup/sandwich/salad options, my favorite when I can't decide.

I have taken clients & friends there many times and have never been disappointed! The soups, salads and sandwiches are scrumptious.

After happily eating at some of Charleston's finest we were in the mood for something simple and healthy. Thank you 5 loaves. The food was so yummy. My husband and I had a mushroom soup that hit the spot. It was so good. Thick and full of mushrooms. Our Tuna sandwich with Grapes disappeared off our plates just as quickly.... More

I've been to five loaves about 5 times and each time I've gone, it's been absolutely delicious! I would recommend to go at lunch because there is less of a wait. The only downside with the restaurant is that sometimes it gets quite busy and people crowd outside of the building and have limited seating. Waiting outside in the Charleston... More

Greatly enjoyed dinner at Five Loaves. Ordered the chicken Marsala which was very tender and a beautiful presentation with spinach and fresh tomatoes. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. Waitress very friendly and the owner came around a couple of times to check on us. Overall a wonderful visit

Read the reviews of this place so decided to try it. Was not sorry. It was raining out so not very crowded the night we went. I ordered the braised tips with garlic mashed potatoes and my date had summer squash ravioli with a cream sauce. We were both VERY satisfied with our meals. The server was very friendly and... More
