We called ahead (30 mins) and, thus, didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for our table. The environment was pleasant, the wait staff efficient. We felt it was a good value. Everything that we ordered was very tasty, and we're not terribly easy to please. There was nothing fancy about the presentation but the portions were fine. We... More

Ended up here when the line at Charleston cafe was surreal. Was pretty underwhelmed with our breakfast meal. The descriptions looked good but the preparation lacked flavor and seasoning. Our waitress was great but even she couldn't make up for the mediocre food. Better than IHOP but that's not saying much.

Very good fare. Appetizers, plate, and desserts are well worth it. Timing is everything as you can show up and get right in and sometimes be lined up around the block. Parking is so-so. ..Be ready to park 3 blocks away.

I have Celiac Disease and the staff was very knowledgable about gluten free foods. There is one thing on the entire menu that I could not eat. We will be back again!

This is my 3rd time eating at this restaurant. Each time the food selection has been totally interesting. The quality is super high and the food so tasty and servers extremely nice. This is not a fancy place and space is tight though parking easy by Charleston standards. Chicken and turkey steroid and antibiotic free. Bread selection yummy. You can... More

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and food allergies. We asked to have a meal not on the menu prepared and they were super helpful and accommodating. Great food, great service and price! They have a gluten free menu!!

The food was very fresh and the tea was really good. 3 of my group had raspberry tea and couldn't stop raving about it! Since we were there for lunch, we all chose a 1/2 sandwich with soup. My soup was potato and tasted just like potatoes- yum!

This was a revisit. We had dinner here last year and loved it, so we thought we give lunch a try. Lunch doesn't get any better than Five Loaves, trust me. We had soups, salads, and bread and all were as good as it gets. Try the salmon salad along with any featured soup and you will be back for... More

We found out about Five Loaves quite accidentally and decided to check it out. As vegetarians it is sometimes challenging to find dining spots. The food is so good and we loved our first visit so much that we found ourselves back there 4 nights later. We did dinner both nights but it looks like it would be a great... More

The location for this eatery is a bit out of the way - it's more in a residential neighborhood. Only a few blocks away form the better traveled roads. However, my wife found this place online and wanted to try some more authentic Charleston vegan/vegetarian options. Overall the restaurant has a lot of character - it is clearly a house... More
