very good local

Fish was very well prepared and presented as well as the other dishes. A good selection of beers and wine. Local prices and great local service. Highly recommended.

Food was good. Service and the ambiance make this a favorite. Waitress was incredibly helpful and gave great advice about local attractions. Appetizer goat cheese gnocchi was outstanding - could have been an entree. Salmon and steak were good - not great. Outstanding quality but limited selection of beer. Wed. and Sat. half price bottles of wine.

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to that offers options that fit all our family's needs. Two ate vegetarian; one had mussels; one had tilapia; one had pasta. All the food was great. Service was a little inconsistent, but food more than made up for it.

Great food, casual atmosphere, good drinks and great service. Pork saltimbocca and filet were excellent. Both entrees were prepared perfectly. We were the only ones sitting at the bar besides another couple and I thought the bartender could have been a little been more attentive.

So good! Try ANY of their sandwiches and their potato with broccoli and cheddar soup---it's so yummy! I've also had their dinner dish of chicken and mashed potatoes on salad with beets, which was great and went well paired with a wine. Their wine selection, by the way, is not extensive but is definitely quality.

Wonderful fine in Charleston. Casual and comfortable, affordable and unpretentious, with a great menu. All of our party of 10 enjoyed our meals. We will return.

Met here with another family the night before heading out on a cruise. Nice choice of beverages, I had a mimosa flight that was a good celebration choice. The food choices were pretty diverse. I ended up getting a variety of soups and a half sandwich. Kids had no trouble finding something to suit them as well. Service was nice,... More

Second visit to five Loafs and will return. I had the chicken Marsala, daughter had the chicken parmigiana, wife had pumpkin sees encrusted salmon. Everything is so fresh. Place is very clean, quite, and dimly lit. Love this place.

Lots of choices and friendly service were found. I had chicken salad BLT which was great. My daughter had trio of soups and a salad. We ended with a huge and dark delicious brownie. Looking forward to eating there again on my next visit.

We had an egg plant appetizer and a salmon entree we shared! They both were absolutely delicious! The salmon was cooked perfect! The bread they give you was very good as well! Good attentive staff.
