Great food, but mostly take-out.

The grits and tomato pie were great - just as I remember them from our last visit. Only a few tables, so expect to wait or chose take-out. A great informal place.

Dixie Supply is a very small restaurant that my wife and I walked by many times without stopping---then we heard it was on Diners/Drive Ins/and Dives. Once you have been there, you will always go back. Tomato Pie, fresh pastries and very good breakfasts. This place has to be rated the most Unpretentious restaurant in Charleston.

I made my first visit to Dixie Supply during last year's Cooper River Bridge Run, and thought it was FANTASTIC. I talked it up to my sons for months, and while vacationing in nearby Fripp Island, we made a day trip to Charleston, highly anticipating another great meal there. However, we were severely disappointed this weekend. Although it was not... More

I ate at Dixie Supply a couple of days ago with my sister and daughter. We have visited Charleston several times and wanted a quick meal with a selection of good Charleston food. I read several reviews on many of the top rated restaurants in the area in trying to decide where to eat. I hate to say this, but... More

We visited this place on Saturday April 4 and were appalled at the treatment the "woman" in the kitchen was giving a new employee. To address the customers at the counter saying "sorry for the delay, new employee doesn't know what he's doing" is abominable. If this was the gentlemen's first day, HELP HIM, don't degrade and mistreat him. Then... More

Our hotel concierge recommended it and said Guy from "Diners, Dives and Drive-ins" had been there. Don't be fooled when you walk in, the food is prepared well and delicious.

We wanted to give this triple D reviewed dive a try. I tried the maple pecan coffee, excellent! The peach filled French toast was wonderful with the cream cheese side, tasted like cheesecake. I had the spinach, mushroom and Gouda cheese omelet, very fresh ingredients! There was construction in front of the place and they broke a gas line. We... More

Went to Dixie Supply while visiting Charleston. The place is definitely a "hole in the wall" type restaurant. But sometimes those are the best ones and Dixie, by far, is one. They are packing big flavor in the 7 table establishment. The best shrimp and grits I have ever had. My wife ordered regular breakfast and it did not disappoint... More
