The fried chicken with waffles was amazing! Not oily and with right amount of batter and delicious seasoning! The waffles however was soft, chewy and bland. We were provided with metal forks and plastic knives and was hard to cut the waffles. Other than this issue-our overall experience was good. Staff was friendly. Would highly recommend a trip. My 4... Had sausage biscuit one morning and the duck confit BLT with aioli for brunch the next day. Better than your avg sausage biscuit, but WOW the duck confit BLT was to die for! A must-visit.

Thank goodness for the internet, or we never would have given this place a glance... or a chance based on appearance! WOW! We're glad we did. The food was excellent, we loved everything we tried and we felt satisfied for the rest of the day! It was our first time to Charleston, so we wanted to get a taste of... More

I visited Dixie Supply Co.recently for breakfast while in Charleston based on a recommendation from a waiter in a local great restaurant. I was sorely disappointed. The quality of the food was way over-rated plus the fight for the tables both inside and outside was quite stressful. Although it's a unique down-home place, the order taker and kitchen personnel you... More

My husband and I went their twice during our stay. It's in the market district and you might miss it if you weren't looking for it. The coconut cake is to die for. You can just taste the butter. So good, I highly recommend that you make the stop on your walking tour. Parking is limited, it's in the market... More

This is a great little place that you just have to have read about to find it. It is next door to a convenience store a bit away from the very center of things (although not that far out!!!) We ate there twice. Bacon is super crispy, grits enough for an army, biscuits to die for. The first time we... More

A local recommended that we try Dixie Supply and Bakery for breakfast. Since Dixie was on Diners, Dives and Drive we thought we should give it a try. We were very disappointed. I had the $18 shrimp and grits which were runny and had no flavor at all. My husband had an omelet that was dry and it looked like... More

On a Sunday morning, it was not surprising to find this place bustling, but grabbed seats right away. Disappointingly, we had to pay $10 for nearby parking in the lot across the street. I ordered a chicken biscuit meal that was supposed to have fried chicken, smothered in sausage gravy on a biscuit. Instead, it had Swiss cheese melted on... More

If you are looking for something fancy don't go to Dixie Supply Bakery. But we like funky places, the food was good. I had the tomato pie which was kind of a quiche but not, I liked it a lot. My niece has the turkey & Gouda wrap with avocado. Pretty good but didn't expect the mustardy sauce. She got... More

We knew that Dixie Supply had been featured on Diners, Dives, and Drive ins so we decided to try it. Small dining area, almost self service. Food was good, nothing special. Polite staff. We found other places we liked better for breakfast.
