We didn't eat here, just had an afternoon refreshment where we were introduced to Firefly Vodka. Service was nice, nothing to write home about. Again, we did NOT have any food here so I can't speak for that part of the restaurant.

We were exhausted on our first night in Charleston after traveling all day. Once we checked into the Francis Marion, we were hungry, but we really didn't want to travel far. The Swamp Fox was a great selection. Since we were guest of the hotel, we were provided with a complementary bottle of wine and a delightful dinner. This is... More

This is the second time we’ve dined at Swamp Fox. The food was just good, not remarkable like we experienced in autumn. The service was not as seamless and the wait staff just not as knowledgeable about the entrées or wine pairings. Diners can count on a meal that is better than what is typically expected of a hotel, but... More

On the last day of our stay, we very wisely decided to have the breakfast buffet at Swamp Fox. There was so much to choose from and presented very elegantly. Besides the delicious egg, meat, bread, and juice selections they had freshly prepared berry smoothies that I found to be a unique and refreshing touch. The staff was very attentive... More

We went here mainly due to having a restaurant.com certificate. We arrived and were promptly seated, but no one came by to take our order for over 10 minutes. Finally the hostess came over to check on us since she saw that we did not have any drinks, and she got a waitress for us, who was very good after... More

The food, the service and the over-all atmosphere of the restaurant were all above my expectations. The food was low on spices (which for me is something that is very good) but it was still very tasteful. Like most people in Charleston, the waitress was very nice and gave us good advice on what to order (the options were limited).... More

Amazing food, very fair pricing, staff is exemplary. Enjoy a elegant meal, at un-elegant prices, all the while listening to an amazing piano serenade.

We stopped here because it is one of the older hotels in the area and named for the Swamp Fox, but the experience was not worth it. Average breakfast hotel buffet food. Nothing extraordinary nor was it worth the price. There are better, authentic locations in Charleston.

We decided to stop here for our first meal in Charleston after reviewing the menu and our history of hotel restaurants not be crowded on a Sat night. The fried green tomatoes with sweet pepper jam and feta cheese were excellent. I had a pork loin wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cornbread stuffing. The pork was well seasoned but... More

Many of us find that hotel food is poor. Located in the Francis Marion Hotel, this restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful food.
