Adam Nemirow was a cinema major at Denison and has turned his creativity, understanding of design, visual appeal, and attention to detail coupled with his passion for food into an award-winning restaurant. F.I.G. is not to be missed. Using fresh, local ingredients in interesting but simple combinations, offering alimited number of dishes on any given night and doing them really,... More

This was our second time dining at FIG and boy am I glad we came back. The space is beautiful, the crowd is lively, but you are not made deaf by the noise, the wait staff is friendly and some of the most knowledgeable about wines and their menu that I have ever come across. Then there is the food...it... More

Charleston,SC is blessed with a number of very fine dinning establishments and in fact it is turning out some of the country's best new chefs with 11 James Beard Award semifinalist this year alone. So I suggest doing your "home work" ahead of time..in the case of FIG(Food Is Good), I made my reservation thru OpenTable and found that a... More

We did not have a reservation so went early and sat at the bar. Great service and innovative cocktails. Gnocchi is as good as everyone said but I wish I had gotten the arugula salad my bar mate got! Super fresh . The asparagus soup was fantastic. Hubby had chicken liver pate, which he loved. I had the crusted flounder......very... More

There is a good reason everyone raves about this place. Had lunch there and it was a great experience. Super fresh and flavorful salads in a wonderful atmosphere. Unique to this area. Highly recommend.

FIG stands for Food Is Good, and boy, is it ever. The cornflower crusted flounder was so flaky it practically separated at the touch of a fork, and it came perfectly complemented by polenta grits, one of the kitchen's many innovative variations on traditional Southern cuisine. The menu offers an unusually generous by-the-glass wine list to pair with just about... More

While visiting Charleston, FIG was recommended by a local businessman and our concierge. It was such a great dining experience that we had two meals there. The food is fresh, imaginative and flavorful. Dont miss the gnocchi appetizer. I am not usually a fan but everyone kept talking about wonderful it is. Believe me when I tell you it is... More

Fabulous seafood even though it is a small menu. We went with friends and we all had a wonderful meal. They have a " community table" but go early for it if you can't get a reservation. Excellent service too.
