We found this restaurant while strolling along King Street and were so happy we decided to try it. Some if the best Thai food I've had in a long time. Everything we tried was great, but the pad Thai was amazing. Service was very good. We sat outside on a warm evening, but the overhead fan helped.

We enjoyed the Coconut soup and Pad Thai at Basil. The coconut soup is a large serving ,,,enough to split with a dining companion. It is sweet and savory with lots of chicken pieces. The Pad Thai was delicious with just the right combination of ingredients. It was not overly spicy but had enough zing to it. The restaurant is... More

We were debating whether to have thai or lebanese food for dinner on our first night in Charleston, SC. I am a fan of thai food and let me tell you, we were all glad to have picked Basil restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Our guests from Norway who had tried thai food for the first time loved... More

We have eaten at Basil's several times, both at the King St. venue and in their newer location in Mt. Pleasant. Love the food and drink there. Delicious food. Although I am not a vegetarian, the veggies are so good that it is easy to become a vegetarian, at least for the duration of a meal, at Basil's if that... More

Had lunch at the newest Basil's in Mount Pleasant. The Pad Ti was very good, but not quite as good as Downtown. Beautiful restaurant and very good service. Always been a little pricey.

Ate here for an early dinner, a little before 6pm, on a Thursday evening and had no wait at all. The restaurant is bright and inviting; the food delicious with ample servings and the service was very attentive......would definitely return on a future visit to Charleston.

Delicious food with lovely presentation. Good wine menu and views of the street. Food came out fast and hot. Tom Kha Kai soup was one of my favorites, and I order it at every Thai restaurant I go to. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxed but stylish dinner or lunch.

This is a busy / noisy restaurant that don't take bookings - so you must queue up. We were lucky and didn't have to wait long. The food was very quick and cooked in an open kitchen for all to see - and was very tasty. Staff very nice. Prices very fair. Would recommend.

We decided to come in out of the Charleston heat to cool off. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. We had pad Thai, Tom yum, green curry, spring rolls and coconut ice cream. Everything was fresh, and delicious!

Excellent service. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice , but too loud. The food was served very expediently and they did a great job with the food.
