We've had lunch here a demux many times - in the little outdoor courtyard - and loved the she-crab soup and the ambience. But this time we had the family with us (daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandsons) and we ate in the restaurant - well, we did eventually. Our order took FOREVER to come and then was incorrect. And each... More

This a great place for breakfast. Really good coffee service and very friendly wait staff. The continental breakfast is a great value if you want to avoid the expensive hotel buffet option.

There with family (7) for brunch. Nice atmosphere. Grits, bacon & sausage, scrambled eggs, omelette station, bagel, pastries were excellent and freshly made. Staff was friendly. Our waiter was good but brought 1 drink incorrectly and had to be asked twice for more water. $27 pp was worth it as the food was great. Would definitely return.

We ate lunch at Palmetto. The octopus salad was delicious. Although the lunch was close to $100 for 2 of us (with tip) it was worth it.

This is one of those hotel restaurants that when you leave, you feel ripped off. Yes, the food is slightly above average, but not worth the expensive price tag. Service is very good along with the decor. We had a traditional breakfast and the highlight was the bacon. French press coffee is too strong for me. Get out of the... More

My husband had a business lunch here and said it was outstanding. He said the crab salad was life-changing. Jealous I couldn't go!

If you happen to be in Charleston you must go to Palmetto Cafe. We were going for lobster rolls somewhere else but when I saw this place, we loved it and we stayed! I am so glad we did. We had a wonderful lunch, I had the sampler, so generous and delicious. She crab soup, a crab cake, a chicken... More

We had the Caesar Salad too! It was one of the most bland I have ever had and some of the lettuce was brown. The accompanying shrimp, friend oysters, chicken and scallops were good. The she crab soup was excellent. The service was just ok. A little slow and spotty. We seemed to be hunting for our waiter a lot... More

The breakfast buffet is expensive in Palmetto Cafe but worth the price. You start out with a very good personal pot of coffee. Some of the items on the buffet were lox & bagels, eggs benedict, eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, an amazing caramel brioche, a wide selection of pastries and an omelet station. Many times at buffets the croissants... More
