Excellent for breakfast

This is located in the Belmond Charleston Place hotel. We had breakfast each dayof our stay, which was included in our room rate. The ambiance is delightful, our waiter, John was exceptional, the food was excellent (either buffet or custom ordered), and it was a great value and experience.

I was a CPH for a three day business meeting and our group had a pre-ordered lunch. I'm a light eater, so ordered Crab soup which was delicious and an appetizer crab cake with a lobster claw which was equally good. Allowing for a group of twenty, the service was a bit slow...after asking for sweetener for my ice tea... More

Family came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my cousins birthday. The restaurant itself is very nice glass enclosed a lot of natural light. The food on the other hand was nothing special. The chef who was at the omelette station ( who by the way was bragging about how long he had been a chef) was so dirty and... More

The main piano bar (Thoroughbred Bar) was full so we went to the other bar and had cocktails. The service was very friendly and the complimentary tray of olives and nibbles was tasty! The chef even brought out a salmon amuse-bouche for each of us-a lovely touch.

Easter brunch was superlative! Buffet style...breakfast and lunch items available. Nicely prepared. Casual and civil at the max. wait staff very, very prompt and courteous. We never waited for anything. Coffee always topped off and water flowed abundantly. Our out of town guests were impressed with the food, service, and environs. We have eaten here on several "special" occasions and they... More

I should have just viewed the gorgeous courtyard from the hallway of Charleston Place and kept on walking. Although I was greeted by a very friendly hostess and was seated at a wonderful table, that was where the southern hospitality ended. I ordered the $25 burger medium but it was so rare I doubt a match was even burned over... More

Any Birthday lunch with the wife and the daughter is going to be good, but it was the best ever at the Palmetto Café. The restaurant is a nice open space environment with natural lighting from huge windows and entire eating section with full glass ceiling. Service (Shaun), was exceptional and as good as or better than any we experienced... More

Located inside the Belmond Hotel and Charleston Place, there is a ton of light and an outdoor courtyard. We had a quick lunch that started with amazing plantain chips topped with spare rib and melted pimento cheese. They are known for their crab salad and I know why. It was incredible! Service was fabulous! So accommodating! I'm gluten free and... More

We enjoyed the Sunday brunch and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that it was a bit pricey for me at $27 per person.

We ate breakfast here two mornings. The service was impeccable (and prompt without feeling rushed). Breakfast was quite good (the bacon was wonderful!).
