Soggy fried seafood, not local, basa fish is from Vietnam. My wife's mussels were bad, smelled terrible. They tried to cover it with lemon. The service was really good though.

We were able to get in for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm with only a 15 minute wait! The staff was very friendly and one of the owners even stopped by our table; that is always a nice touch. We all had fried seafood and it was very good.

The food is adequate but won't exceed your expectations Clearly from mass produced food distributors.

The staff was above average, as was the food. I ordered ordered a standard fried seafood affair and was pleased. The restaurant is not an upscale or fancy place, expect a comfortable family setting with a price to match

The reason I gave the place 2 stars is because the Sangria was delicious..otherwise- I would not recommend it! 4 of us went early evening-5:00- not busy- walked right in and got seated...I had the crab cakes...mostly filler..very disappointed- and the She crab soup- thick like glue and it tasted like the faux was under cooked..I think I ate a... The food was okay but not worth lining up for. The service was prompt and friendly but there are many other restaurant choices in Savannah. Each evening we saw a huge line up outside. We didn't have to line up to get a seat but if we did, would be disappointed.

We had heard good things about Hyman's Seafood and decided to check it out. There was about a 10 minute wait for a table (which I took as a good sign) so my husband and I decided to eat/drink at the bar. The staff was incredibly friendly and answered any and all of our questions regarding the menu. Drinks were... More

For a great experience at a pure low country seafood restaurant look no further than Hyman's . Fabulous cornbread, lots of crab in the crab-cakes, fresh fish, delicious shrimp, fresh and local collard greens and other vegetables. Also great Bloody Mary's and reasonable wine selections. This is not a high -end seafood restaurant but you get great value in a... More
