Enjoyed lunch on the porch on a beautiful warm sunny day. Had the most amazing friend green tomatoes with tomato jam and feta. Tomato basil soup and 1/2 turkey sandwich and it was so filling I brought most of the sandwich back to the hotel to enjoy later. Worth the hour wait.

Cru Cafe lived up to its high Trip Advisor rating. An old house converted into a small, cozy restaurant with outdoor seating too. An enticing and not expensive lunch menu. I had the chicken club sandwich with shoestring fries. I happen to be a frequent consumer of club sandwiches and this was one of the best. Everything was fresh and... More

Cru Cafe is tucked away in a charming older home setting. We ate outside, and enjoyed the best cuisine in Charleston yet. Short ribs were to die for. This is now our go to place for a full dinner experience. Enjoy!!

Arrogant young male host (Nate?) was not at all friendly. Waitress service was good but café was very loud. Fried calamari had way too much breading. Truffle fries greasy and salty. Will not return.

We went for lunch, and the food was delightful. They use super fresh ingredients, and really, that's all I ever want. Great food. The only tiny complaint I have is the noise level inside, which I understand, it would be a shame to put acoustic tiles in a historic Charleston single. This is a relly good restaurant. Will return.

Once again the restaurant exceeded our expectations. We were early a got the kitchen view seating, we knew it would be fun but we did not know how much. We saw an extremely well oiled run through some fabulous food. We saw our appetizer being put together, Asian salad with calamari. A must try. Our entrees mahi mahi with Carolina... More

We selected Cru Café for two reasons: (1) my son had visited the Cru Café during his recent vacation to Charleston and had indicated it was the place for a great lunch. (2) Our first choice (restaurant) for dinner could not accommodate our party. This is my 5th vacation to the Charleston area in the last 6 years and in... More

The 2 of us had the Cesar salad - really good with an interesting huge crouton and the duck confit salad. It was ok. For our entree we had the scallops. The spicy spaghetti was interesting, not sure how I really felt about it and thought the scallops were a little bland. Our sides - Mac n cheese was really... More
