I think my first visit here was during the 2000 presidential primary season, which I covered for a couple of European media outlets. It took me a while to realize this was a restaurant, but I was perhaps a little slow that Wednesday morning, having stared at primary returns till the wee hours, and trying to clear my head with... Jumped in for a quick late lunch. Gazpacho was excellent and up to standards eaten in Spain, very delicate chèvre cheese on rye and a good smoked salmon. Nice service, tasted good, good value and nice ambience.

A man working on the water taxi told us about this restaurant. He said whatever you order will be good and priced right. He was correct. It's a small place out of the way of the busier streets. I wish I would have found it sooner during my 3 day visit to Charleston.Try the ham & turkey baguette. The bread... More

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Charleston. Most tourists who come to the city are so busy scouting out the popular oyster places that they completely miss this delight of a cafe. A croq Monsieur, an Orangina, a piece of cake and some French press coffee is my definition of a perfect lunch. Don't miss this... More

It is quaint and a bit different. Love the cheese/pâté special plate that comes with a glass of wine. I try to eat lunch here every time I visit. It is a small place and you sit close to your neighbor, but that is part of what makes it cool.

Which is great! Referred by my walking tour guide, I enjoyed the food. It's very bistro-like in the offerings and atmosphere. Would go back again!

Its all about the food...and it is as French as it gets. Nothing pretentious here...just great food in reasonable portions and decent prices. It's different all the time but it seems to always be good. Ask the kids who work there questions and they will help guide you through the menu. If you are a Francophile you will appreciate the... We enjoyed the food. Have been there before and will go back again. But the two people we dealt with there could have been a lot more friendly and outgoing. They made it feel like you were a number instead of a person and seemed to be just going thru the motions.

Returned for yet another meal during the Spoleto Festival. Again the restaurant did not disappoint. The special was lamb and we enjoyed it very much. With good bread, a choice of soups, and a nice pour of house wine, this restaurant is a good place for a quick dinner. We enjoy meeting other folks while sitting at the counter, and... More

Finally after 5-6 years of walking past this small relatively unmarked little restaurant, I finally made it for lunch. Wow, what a charming little place. The wait staff is very welcoming and helpful in walking us thru the menu. The recommended meat and cheese platter was just what I was looking for. The Pate was delicious as was the other... More
