Just Fabulous

What a treat. Tucked away on a side street is a gem of a place. Not your red sauce, lasagna, veal or chicken parmesan kind of place. A neat old building creates an intimate dining experience. Appetizer soup and salads were great, especially the seafood salad. The veal chop was just great, a bone in... read more

Alicia was our waitress--very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. She let us try a taste of several red whites and we finally went with a good basic, inexpensive chianti....very nice. We enjoyed our mushroom salad and arugula salad appetizers and most of the entrees. The duck entree was good. IF you like spicy food, go for the sweet potato... More

Yes, the food (Northern Italian) is very good (especially the Antipasto Spoleto); yes the wine list is outstanding; and yes the location is wonderful. But, the noise level is unbelievable. Fulton Five has been around for many years and has billed itself as "Charleston's most romantic restaurant. " Well, my husband took me there for a special birthday and our... More

The food was wonderfully prepared. The waitress was very knowledgeable yet unobtrusive. The small restaurant was a delight.

Took my family there for our mothers 50 birthday. This restaurant is very pricy so know this before you visit. A surprisingly high bill will ruin your experience. Aside from the price this is a must eat while in Charleston. Great wine selection, atmosphere is quaint but with an energetic vibe. Please treat yourself to the charming restaurant.

This has to be the best restaurant in the city. It can be pricey, but try it out during Restaurant Week. You will be amazed at the quality of the dishes served. They really focus on detail. The desserts "are to die for" !!!!

We were not planning on doing something this nice for Valentines Day dinner, but we stumble across Fulton Five and saw space at the bar, and they were more that accommodating and made us feel right at home. Had a good bottle of wine, an outstanding plate of mussels to start. I had the osso bucco, which is a personal... More

This is a favorite restaurant when we are in Charleston. On this trip, we had an excellent dinner - as usual. Always make reservations. It is a very small, intimate restaurant. They will be ready for you. The wine list is superb as is the menu. It is always an enjoyable experience to try something new and different. I like... More

We told the concierge at our hotel that we had booked here and she was less than enthusiastic. We should have listened to her. The outside of the restaurant looked very pretty but the interior was very ordinary. We arrived early and the hostess was most unwelcoming. My starter of Insalata di Mare was excellent but my wife's main of... More
