I Can't Put My Finger On It

Yes, the wine list is to die for (a bottle of St. Innocent with perfect stemware and Shafer Relentless) and the steak perfectly cooked as ordered. The staff was WONDERFUL as usual and the service impeccable. I feel bad about a 4 star review because this is the ONE place I love to go every time... read more

If the glowing Chroma-therapy ceiling lighting doesn't have you at "HELLO: Welcome to Cypress" the fabulous food and service will for sure. We started with the wine list via iPad app... then shared the cucumber tuna roll: DELISH in a bed of hummus-yummus. Next: salads, butter lettuce with bacon jam and blue cheese (pictured; had cukes hidden underneath) while the... More

I am a self proclaimed foodie and this was the best meal I have had in a long time. I used to live in charleston and overall food is great here, but this is top notch. We had the motherboard to start (warning: it's huge), amazing. I then canceled my salad because it was so filling and went straight for... More

The atmosphere, food and service are consistently outstanding. Great wine selection too. One of my go to dinner spots in town.

We stopped at Cypress (part of Magnolia/Blossom) group and were pleasantly surprised. We decided on the Chateaubriand done medium rare. The beef was incredible and would rival most of our steak houses back home in Chicago. Lobster bisque was a starter and the Caramelized Pineapple Cake for desert made for a perfect evening.

Cypress Restaurant was amazing. The drinks and all the way through the wonderful desserts mad for a really special evening during our visit to Charleston. The service was impeccable too. There were four of us and we each ordered something different for our entree and dessert. Then we tried them all and couldn't make a decision which entree or dessert... More

My husband is a very picky eater, and I'm not talking a "foodie" here, just the opposite. And when he enjoys a fine restaurant, that is a good sign. I am sorry I cannot remember exactly what we ordered, but one of us had beef, and the other pork, I think. Both dishes were fabulous, as well as the bread,... More

I've been to Cypress several times over the last 4 years. It provides constantly good food.Stars are of course chef's chracuterie plate. Meats are cured in the house. Once I took friends there from NY and they had the rib eye steak for two and they told me it was even better than Peter Luger's in NY. Also worth to... More

The food here was excellent, and I highly recommend the charcuterie plate ("the Motherboard"). The meats are made in-house, and the cheese pairings were excellent.

We enjoyed the atmosphere in the upstairs bar and decided to just enjoy appetizers. Very creative with great presentation. We will definitely try again.
