Well organized, attentive waitstaff for a corporate group dinner. One of about 50 or so folks attending a Friday night dinner we were taken directly to our private room and served beverages right away. A fixed menu with appetizer and salad and choice of 3 entrees was awaiting us. Entree choices were a filo wrapped sushi grade tuna w/ sides;... More

There are so many choices in Charleston and I talked my friend into going to the bar at Cypress for apps last night. What a disappointment. If recently had a wonderful experience here so I thought she should try it. We shared three appetizers, a dessert, and each had two drinks. I was still hungry when I left. They've reduced... More

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. The food was good, but it was not outstanding. There are better choices. The decor was very modern. The staff had trouble recommending a good champagne.

in a sea of attractive restaurants Cypress is possibly the most esthetic but it doesn't stop with the look. Table side Caesar salad was fantastic, steaks and scallops well received. Service top notch and, when presented with a request for a special order, not only did we get it but the chef came out to present it and talk to... More

We had saved our first visit to Cypress for a special occasion, so we came with great anticipation and high expectations. In short order, the dining experience itself became a special occasion! Every aspect of the meal, from reception to seating to assistance with specials and the wine list through dessert was top-notch. The venue is attractive enough, modern without... More

Visiting Charleston again from Pittsburgh and had to make a stop here because on our last visit we enjoyed so much. Well, they were spot on again with food and service. All 3 of us had the Ahi Tuna dinner which is absolutely killer!!! The appetizers were fantastic as well and the service by Graham was unreal. His knowledge of... More

This has been the best dinning experience of our trip. The woman who took our reservation was snotty, DO NOT LET THAT SWAY YOU. Simply the best. Cade our waiter made us feel like we were royalty. I ordered the filet and my wife the tuna. Perfect. Plan on coming here tomorrow.

Stopped in for some bar food and a glass of wine. Ate upstairs at the bar. Server was new and it showed...didn't know the wines on the list...took 4 requests to finally get some water. Ordered their bar burger and the flat bread pizza. Burger was good, but not too hot...the pizza was awful. The crust was soggy and cold,... More

I visited Charleston 3 years ago and in a culinary tour de force felt Cypress was the best meal of the week. My most recent visit included many restaurants rated higher on TA , but after a great week of dining in the culinary capitol of the South, Cypress still came out on top. Service , wine selection and food... More

Cypress was truly a wonderful experience. From the changing light colors on the ceiling to the wall of 7500 bottles of red wine, the food was amazing, the service delightful. It is pricey - so if you're looking for a family style restaurant, this isn't it. If you want a romantic, delectable meal, you've got it. They are part of... More
