Spectacular food with low country flavor

Love the charcuterie and smoked meats. Great service as always both at the bar and our table. Great recommendation of wine from server to go with our varied dishes (rack of lamb, caesar salad, crab cakes, special barbeque platter). Will always go when we're in town. If you love lamb, the rack is amazing!

As a single diner, I seated myself upstairs at a hightop in the bar area facing the window that looks out toward Waterfront Park. I think the bartender/waitress may have been a trainee, as I saw the other bartender helping her with the register. As a result, service was a little slow. I ordered a crab cake and a side... More

I'm a world traveller and Cypress consistently has some of the best food I've ever eaten. While I prefer the early spring offerings (chicken and dumplings, olive oil cake) the late spring offerings are also amazing. The crispy wasabi tuna is one of their most popular dishes, and does not disappoint. The Lavender martini was superb. The made-at-your-tableside caesar salad... More

Ambiance, presentation, libation, and food ... all outstanding. The layout is unique - ask for a table upstairs and check out the view down into the kitchen. The daily features we tried were excellent - especially the buger. From the daily menu, the pork chop and tuna dishes were also spot on. Walking up is okay, but reservations are quite... More

If you want food that is created with love, care and dedication, then this the place to go!! Not only is the food excellent, they are sustaining the entire area. I love the floating bar upstairs and it is a treat to just walk in the door. You can see how they recycle almost every thing they have used!! Two... More

This was our second trip to the Cypress and it did not dissappoint. Every dish was fantastic. The sauces really make everything fantastic. The oyster sauces were so good that after we finished the oysters, we finished the sauces off with bread. The heirloom carrot salad was amazing, and the tuna, and steak with scallops entrees were out of this... More

By our fifth night visiting Savannah and then Charleston we had had enough of complicated food and found Cypress about 9 p.m. and went upstairs to their cozy bar - had the choice of the bar menu or full menu (which looked great) Chose the bar menu and had the great steamed buns with tenderloin, oysters and almond crusted brie... We only went for cocktails because we had dinner reservations elsewhere. Kept wanting to cancel other plans because it smelled AWESOME! Wish we had...The upstairs bar is soo cool and they can make any kind of martini you like!! Husband had spicy salami stuffed olives in his martini and raved about them, he wouldn't share. I ordered a French martini,... More
