A good meal in a nice location

I enjoyed a nice meal at Cypress. The building itself is very nicely done; an open kitchen, a wall of wine, a great bar, exposed brick and cool lighting. Service was excellent from hostess to servers. I started with the charbroiled oysters. You get 4 oysters charbroiled in a very garlicky... read more

Really enjoyed this place, didn't learn until after we ate that the chef cures his own meat, including hot dogs. The upstairs bar area has a bar fare menu that is cheap and delicious. The steamed buns are delicious, as are the burgers and pizzas. Will be trying the cured meats and seafood on the next visit

We had the tuna and salmon with charcuterie to start and it was delicious and beautifully presented. The space is very pretty as well, and the staff were very helpful with both our wine choice and steering us to the right size (the smaller portion) appetizer.

Booked a table here on recent getaway with my wife, based on TripAdvisor reviews. I was not disappointed- this was the best fine dining we enjoyed in the city. Lobster bisque was incredible. The in-house charcuterie plate MUST NOT BE MISSED! Everything is made/cured to specification by the chef. Great service; great wine/cocktails and an impressive dinner menu. Based on... More

The service was outstanding as the waitress provided detailed explanation of the menu items. In our party we had the red snapper, swordfish and salmon. All were exceptional and exceeded expectations. The wall of wines, three floors, is a must see for wine lovers. Will return the next time in Charleston.

I have dined here a few times now. I have had the steak, pork chop and phyllo wrapped tuna (a must try). All were excellent! Service has been on point each time too

Enjoyed the menu and best of all the wait staff. Very helpful and answered all the questions. Restaurant specializes in table side caesar salad and does it well. Meats were served as ordered. Only disappointment was the desserts.

Dined there based on hotel recommendation. Really good food and very accommodating for our 3-year old. Service was very good and our server was very helpful. Definitely recommend.

We were in Charleston for a couples get away. Cypress was an excellent choice. The service and food was 5 star. We eat at alot of different places and this at the top of our list. Highly recommend the root vegetable salad and the surf and turf.

My husband and I dined there on December 30. Our dinners were excellent as was service. When asked if we were there for an early New Year's Eve celebration, we replied were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Within 5 minutes we presented with complimentary dessert and champagne! It was lovely surprise and made our evening that much more special.
