Charcuterterie done right

Went up to the mezzanine bar for cocktails and appetizers. Great atmosphere, great service, and a damn fine platter of cured meats. Our last couple charcuterie boards (elsewhere) have been disappointing. This was first rate.

This is one of Charlestons finer restaurants we expected something I didn't get. The food was excellent. Hopefully I can explain what we missed. They have a ton of wait staff running around everywhere. They kept trying to take our plates even though there was small amounts of food in them and we certainly were not sitting back as if... More

2nd time at Cypress, and VERY pleased!! My wife ordered the lobster tacos and I the fish tacos. There was more fresh lobster in the lobster tacos than we have seen in even regular lobster tails. My fish tacos were filled to the brim also. Our service was excellent. Mark, our waiter, was superb. The blackberry/peach crisp was excellent also.

Service is great, almost a little too. But the menu works very hard at making southern foods interesting, and takes such liberties as adding ham to their bouillabaisse. Many of the selections suffer from, in my view, "too many notes." So, this is a matter of taste. The wine list, and cool wine display hall, is impressive with a lot of... More

Definitely the best part of our experience here was the waitstaff service. Our waiter was really engaging and educated us on a lot of wine and menu items as well as some of the things to and places to eat in Charleston. The food was great, though probably not the most noteworthy meal we had in Charleston. It was definitely... More

Limited menu but disappointed with the meal considering cost although the venue is fabulous. It's more about the experience than the food

If you are looking for fine dining, outstanding service, an extensive selection of fine wines, and great food, you should definitely check out Cypress. This was my first time dining at Cypress but being a sister restaurant of Magnolias and Blossom, both great eateries in Charleston, I figure we could not go wrong for a business dinner accommodating a party... Good pizza. The cheese is better than most, otherwise typical of "New York" pizza place outside of New York. Service was very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere.

The food was perfectly prepared. Oysters were fresh and very tasty. Our waiter enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Wine list is quite deep. The decor stands out in its tastefulness and uniqueness. We make it a point to dine here every time we are in Charleston and we are never disappointed.

Took a fellow worker to Cypress Restaurant and had a great dinner. Tried a ginger beer beverage and it was delicious. The sea food is excellent.
