We have dined in many Charleston restaurants over the years and had been encouraged to eat at the Peninsula Grill by several friends, but for some reason or another had never been able to do so until our last visit. We arrived on-time for our reservation but had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. The dining room... More

I went into Peninsula Grill based on the it's reputation as an outstanding dining expreince. I was not disappointed, from the moment I walked in I was wowed by the atmosphere, food and service. To me what makes good... GREAT is all in the details. They have the details down, the service and food are artist at work. I had... More

We had a simply phenomenal meal here! Everything was the picture of perfection! Great champagne, inventive cocktails, tasty appetizers, amazing entrees, heavenly dessert! There wasn't a single wrong note with this meal. My dad's steak was cooked perfectly and according to him, was one of the best he'd ever had. My pork tenderloin was equally noteworthy. We tried their mushroom... More

We arrived about 15 minutes late for our 6:45 reservation. We were seated immediately and then our wonderful evening began. We shared the lobster 3 way fois gras and special salad of goat cheese, figs and heirloom tomatoes as appetizers. All were expertly prepared and presented. For dinner we shared the trout, scallops, shrimp, and special snapper. Again we were... More

At first this place seemed very "fancy", the hostess was not too nice and we did not feel welcomed, maybe its because we were literally the only people in their 20's there, but as we sat down and our server came he made us feel much better and took really good care of us. The drinks were really good but... More

First time to Charleston and guided to Peninsula by locals and Trip Advisor reviews. Wife had the Filet and I had the Grouper, both of which were presented impressively. The filet was a bit undercooked. However, they took immediate care of it and also re-presented my filet so we could eat together, which was a nice touch and first for... More

Consistently ranked among the best of many great restaurants in Charleston, the Peninsula Grill truly lived up to our high expectations. We recently celebrated my wife's birthday on a Sunday evening, and it was truly a great experience. Birthday greetings upon arrival, a warm and welcoming staff, and a great meal - all combined to make this a great evening.... More

The food is superb, and the service is 5*. The scallops were perfect and the chocolate desert was great. Another diner at our table ordered banana pudding, which I don't particularly care for but WOW! Delicious and Beautiful. All in our party raved about their dinner. Can't wait to go back Every time I visit Charleston.

We were part of a large group for our dinning experience and ate in a private room. The dinner selections were diverse and we both had the salmon entree. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauce topping added a delightful taste to the fish. However, the best part of the meal was the highly touted coconut cake. This desert... More
