You simply must sit outside if the weather permits because it is the most beautiful dining spot in the city. The gas lanterns, and the candles just make it the sweetest moment. And I had dinner with my Momma! So that is really saying something. The waiter was kind and fabulous, and food was perfect and wonderful. And the desserts... More

Top choice when visiting Charleston.... Why? Awesome dining room and experienced staff that makes it all come together. We were in town for a wedding and met a local friend at the bar for a few drinks before dinner. The duck was so tender and flavorful. The trio of soups were to die for. You won't find better service anywhere!... More

If you have to pick just one nice restaurant to eat at in Charleston, this is it. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is refined. The steak I had here is probably the best I have ever had. I couldn't choose which of their sauces to accompany it, so they brought me all three. While the coconut cake is... More

since we moved to the Charleston area, we celebrate our anniversary here every year. It's a special place, elegant and not too over the top. Prices are fair, excellent food and the service and atmosphere are superb.

Charleston has some great restaurants and this is at the top f the places I've eaten there. The tables are not crowded, and the noise level is low. The service was impeccable, but of course the main objective is the food. The dishes were well prepared. The foie gras and the oyster appetizers were excellent. The salmon with horseradish cream... I have been obsessed with foie gras since I had it for the first time in Strasbourg many years ago. So, I am always on the hunt for the "right stuff". Three friends and I had the extreme pleasure on a recent rainy evening of having dinner in the bar at the Peninsula. (I must say, I am glad I... More

We had a dinner program here for about 20 guests and experienced impeccable service and the divine culinary delights for which Charleston has come to be known. I would definitely return again to experience more on the menu and enjoy the pleasant ambiance of the Peninsula Grill.

Inside is quite noisey and stuffy, but outside was just delightful. Chicken dish was average, but the the goat cheese smashed potatoes were awesome! My husband's scallops were fabulous and dessert was great. We had the coconut cake and the chocolate cake. The whole meal was just wonderful.

Living in Charleston, it is sometimes difficult to choose where to eat, since we are blessed with so many great chefs and restaurants. I will admit that for the last decade I have overlooked Peninsula Grill as a dining option in the wake of new restaurant openings and the buzz associated with the newness. I had not eaten at Peninsula... More
