Started with some starters that combined some surprising tastes and a well balanced entree I could not make it till the desert. But sure something I should have tried. After some initial struggle with our choice of whine, proposed by the sommelier, changing form Californian to French saved the day.

We recently spent two weeks in the Charleston area and had big plans to check out the best restaurants in the area. We went to four that are widely considered among the best, and of them all, the Peninsula Grill really stood out. We sat outdoors under the gas lamps and garden, and it could have been a better setting.... More

We ate here to celebrate my 60th birthday. We found the restaurant was extremely noisy and the tables so close together that you were force to talk with the guests at the tables on either side. Service was average and prices were high. My husband had the duck and I ordered rack of lamb. Both meals were nothing special. The... More

The waiter was impeccable, very well trained. Two entrees were excellent, however, the salmon was so salty that it was barely edible. The desserts were excellent. Wine selection was also fantastic.

Absolutely great food, really good menu, service is really good. Dynamite baked oysters, crab and lobster duo. Nice atmosphere and look forward to next opportunity to dine there.

Once you enter, you know this is going to be a fabulous experience. They started our evening with a taste of compressed watermelon and crab (yes, together.....it was fabulous). We had a lovely oyster sampler of Northern Oysters (I am not a fan of southern oysters). Then an heirloom tomatoes appetizer. Our entrées were rike fish which tastes like a... More

We were lucky enough to get an extra unexpected night in Charleston. We booked a reservation at Peninsula grill for dinner. The restaurant was beautiful, the wait staff was fantastic and dinner was spectacular. We had the special and the scallop dinner and they were outstanding. We compare it to our visit to the Inn at Little Washington which is... More

My fiance and I just decided to have a nice, fancy dinner one night. We finally decided on this restaurant and we were not disappointed! The service was spectacular! Everyone was very professional and very polite. We were there a little before our reservation so we waited at the bar and the hostess came over to let us know our... More

My husband and I had an absolutely perfect evening at this restaurant. This is the kind of place you dress up for and you are really made to feel special. This restaurant understands that the devil is in the details and they surpass the expectations that even the most discerning diner has. This would be my pick for celebrating a... More
