The Cake!

The food was incredible and so was the ambiance and service. The infamous coconut cake did not disappoint. We shared the cake and the portion is big - we took half of it back to our hotel room to finish!

Grand food and wine, over the top service! Enjoyed 2 dinners. Our waiters had 10 year and 13 year continued service which speaks for itself. (purchased a coconut cake to take home to share)

Very attentive service. Diverse and interesting menu. Heirloom tomatoes and peaches apetizer with feta cheese was great. Rock Cornish hen breasts were very good but somewhat salty. Ingtersting cocktail menu, too.

While we were in the area, I insisted we stop in for a piece of the famous Ultimate Coconut Cake. The Mr was somewhat skeptical that it was worth the detour, but I was insistent, so he complied with my wishes. As usual I was right, and we both ended up happy with my suggestion! #DeliciousCake

Try the Champagne Bar Menu - you won't even need to order from the dinner menu, just get Lobster 3 Ways and a dessert!

Starting with the service, you knew it would be a different meal. Southern charm all the way. A varied but concise menu with a very good wine selection. My wife said: "The best meal of my life." The heirloom tomatoes and peaches was to die for. My shrimp was perfect, most had the grouper. The banana pudding for desert was... More

Usually very, very good. However, on occasions the chef's hand gets a little too heavy with salt. The seared scallops are to me the best thing on the menu.

Thank you for your continued support. As you describle there is a very fine line between properly seasoned and a bit too much. Peninsula Grill is known as the place to dine in Charleston because of our consistancy. Unfortunately, even with our record of consistancy, we do make a mistake. We are happy to correct any mistakes during your experience.... More

Dine in the garden under the stars by candlelight. The garden is one of the prettiest in charleston. Everything on the menu is excellent, the service is impeccable and the whole experience will be one you won't forget. Finish the meal with their award winning coconut cake. It has won many competitions. One look and bite will certainly prove itself.... More

The food was ok. This place was expensive. I guess it's ok for people that like this kind of place. I would rather have went to McDonalds and saved $120.00.

Lovely courtyard at night. We dined for our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff was attentive and excellent, even though we ate late at 9:15pm. Beautiful and romantic setting in the courtyard. Excellent food - I had grilled jumbo shrimp and my husband had the duck. Both outstanding. Staff served us our coconut cake with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate; nice... More
