We actually had reservations at Cru Cafe, but they have several steep steps and I use a walker, so we were referred to Anson's and I'm so glad we came here for dinner! I had the crispy flounder with apricot shallot sauce and it was mouthwatering! There was so much that I couldn't eat it all, for which my husband... More

I hosted a group dinner for 19 at the reopened and refreshed Anson Restaurant. This was a great evening in their remodeled upstairs dining area. The decor is warm and inviting with dark wood paneling and mule deer antler chandeliers. Each guest ordered from the full menu and I certainly heard nothing but high praises for food quality and presentation.... More

I've been twice in the past month. Both times ate at the bar. Very friendly bar tenders, Jeremy and Christopher. Knew the menus, the drinks, and made great recommendations. Last night I had some of the best calamari I've ever had, tender, perfectly breaded and flash fried, with an awesome sweet chili sauce and fresh sliced red peppers. The tile... More

OK. So... When your memory of Anson's was before their fire and remodeling / recent reopening AND it was one of the best meals and experiences of your entire life, you return with a very high level of expectation. I've been calling for almost 2 years, eagerly awaiting the reopening. We were thrilled to get an 8pm reservation for last... More

Finally! Finally ... Anson reopened after the fire, and, inside it is a completely different place. The bar is now on the left as you enter vs. the right. It oozes elegance. Anson is all about the Crispy Flounder ... I have been dreaming about it for the past year or so. Well, it's back! Just as good as before.... More

Full Disclosure: We ate almost exclusively from the starters/appetizer menu as we could not decide what to get...everything on the menu looked excellent. The She-Crab soup, Fried Green Tomatoes, Oysters, Arugula and Beet Salad, Shrimp and Grits, Boudin Fritters and the Scallops are all delicious! I highly recommend Anson Resturant!

It's been a while since the fire that gutted this historic landmark and it was nice to arrive back home. The service and staff were amazing as we celebrated my father's 80th birthday and my son's 11th. Each request was handled with kid gloves and we were not disappointed. The number of people in our reservation changed a couple of... More

We chose Anson's for our 32nd wedding anniversary dinner. It was well recommended and definitely lived up to the recommendations. I am dairy free for medical reasons and talked to my server. He recommended several items and even went back to check with the chef about a couple of things. I ordered the swordfish but substituted the sides for the... More

Very nice dinner. I had the grouper and it was good. The flounder was very good. I believe it is their signature dish. The staff is very personable as well.
