Good food, great server just a damn long wait

HominyGrill was so worth the wait earlier today for our Sunday brunch. Fabulous brunch after sweating it out for nearly an hour in the open courtyard on this hot summer Sunday. Wish they had more fans in their open courtyard to make it little easy on their customers who wait for 1-1 1/2 hours. We... read more

The famous shrimp and grits were good - and worth a trip alone. Shrimp perfectly done and grits that actually taste like something. The catfish special was tasty but the portion was small and the french fries were soaked in grease - even before 11am. If you like grits, then go here. Otherwise, you can have a really good breakfast... More

We went here at 3 pm on a Friday with 2 adults and 2 kids. Sometimes I get annoyed when a restaurant doesn't have a kids menu.... But the hominy grill has some nice options for kids. They have the option of making a meal out of side dishes and they have some reasonably priced fried chicken that was really... More

Being from the North, traditional low country cuisine is not a favorite of ours but we decided to try Hominy Grill after reading some reviews. Fabulous shrimp and grits and an incredible chicken curry dish. Not your momma's southern cookin.

A small, intimate spot to enjoy a late breakfast with mimosas and mojitos, while waiting on the terrace for your table. Enjoyed the visit one morning, so we decided to visit two days in a row! It was quite busy, but the wait was only about 25 mins. but considered it worth it! The only downside was the one dining... More

At the end of King where the shops pretty much run out and then down a few blocks is Hominy, its a cool, older building which has been done out inside and is cool and easy. Ask the server if you dont want to sit in the noisy room, they will try and move you. worth knowing. We had the... More

Hit the spot. Delicious light salad, avacodo, sliced almonds, mandarin orange slices and wonderful citrus vinegarite dressing. I had a beautiful crusted chicken breast between a hot biscuit covered with a sausage gravy. Highly recommend for lunch.
