Excellent Value Meal, Great Seafood

We were looking for some good seafood in Charleston and all the restaurants in historic district were either really expensive or had bad reviews so we decided to come here. From downtown Charleston it only was a 10-15 minute drive so not too bad at all. The first impression was not good, it looks... read more

The outside doesn't do this place any favors, as it is located in a strip mall and just looks like a neighborhood bar. Since it was recommended by a friend and we didn't want to deal with traffic, we went ahead and went inside. We arrived at the tail end of happy hour, which included some $5 apps. Had calamari,... I give two stars because of the service. .....excellent service. Food on the other hand was not good. Very small portions and very greasy. Bill came out to 60 bucks and went to whole foods to get a pizza afterwards. I had the mahi taco and there was two small pieces of fish one inch long each. Asparagus was floating... More

We had originally wanted to eat at Folly Beach since we had spent the day there. However, parking was an issue so we headed back to our hotel in Charleston. We passed a few places that had been written about in Trip Advisor, but they were closed until dinner (it was late afternoon at this point). So, GPS led us... More

Pretty good crab legs - don't expect them to be slamming them out to you as they seem to be reluctant to give you more than 2 clusters after your initial 3 cluster service. The restaurant was very slow this particular evening and our waiter did a pitiful job in taking care of his three tables ( including ours ),... More

My wife and I visited Salty Waters after passing by while in the Charleston area on vacation. The decor was about what you would expect for a restaurant in a strip mall, clean but nothing exciting. Our server was very efficient and not annoying by any stretch, my water glass was never empty, that's a plus. We ordered off the... More

AUCE oysters....this place lost money with my crew. We asked for buckets time and time again. Plenty of crackers, hot sauce and horseradish too. Oysters were a little small but very salty. Beer was ice cold. Service was very friendly and prompt. Hope to return ASAP!

First time we visited and we're very pleasantly surprised with super prices and oysters during happy hour. Good service too. Went early evening on Friday. Red snapper special was well prepared with gouda grits and asparagus. Nice place...only drawback was no view...but all the other things made up for that....
