Yummy

Well prepared delicious food. Came here on a date night and everything from the service, ambience, and food were great! Chef bacon and his team hit on all cylinders.

My wife and I are "foodies" and go to a lot of restaurants. We are used to good food. The Macintosh is one of those rare places that provides great food and service, in a beautiful setting with a great vibe. The menu is small, but the food is cutting edge superlative. My wife had the deckle (steak) and I... More

Came in here with friends and Kitty. Kitty liked it so I can't complain much, but what can you do. I had the "garbage plate" which was quite greasy but Kitty liked it. The staff was friendly and they were nice to Kitty. Great place for new tourists in town.

We went to The Macintosh on the advice of a friend. The restaurant was not crowded at our 6:30 reservation time but was getting crowded as we left. The tables for two are quite close together so it loses a bit of the ambiance for me there. Service was excellent and the food came quickly and appropriately timed. We had... More

We only tried cocktails here but I was impressed with their menu and atmosphere. They have a variety of options including rare beers and a cocktail called the witch doctor with a szechuan button. Unfortunately, they were out of the button so I did not get to try. I would go back and sample more things on the menu.

The food was awesome. We had the freckle and the lambchetta. Both were perfectly cooked. The service was also very friendly, though the kitchen was a little slow.

We have been to many Charleston restaurants since moving to South Carolina over 10 years ago and are always in the lookout for one that we have not been to. We decided to try the Macintosh having seen it while eating at other restaurants nearby and were not disappointed. The hostess greeted us warmly, our server Britney was attentive, efficient... More

We've been here multiple times for both dinner and happy hour. Everything has always been good. We recommend this restaurant when people come to town.

Longing for the world class service that used to be the hallmark of Charleston restaurants? It's not dead. It moved up King Street to Macintosh. Our waiter made wonderful recommendations and we had a tasty meal. Don't miss the Seared Grouper with Corn, Romesco, Kale, Wax Beans, Fennel, and the Banana Bread Pudding with Malted Milk Chocolate Ice Cream, Butterscotch,... More
