My husband and I ate dinner at The Macintosh with friends while visiting Charleston for a wedding this past weekend. We LOVED it!! We were seated at a long table by the window and the entire restaurant has a really neat, big-city, trendy atmosphere to it. We ordered salads to start and all ordered a variety of menu items and... I brought my husband here this evening for his birthday and had the most amazing experience food wise as well as service wise. I have been in the restaurant business since I was in college haha many moons ago so I have seen it all! Charleston is a food city and then some and I must say that myself as... More

I would eat at this place every time I come to Charleston. The bar is small and packed. The food is eclectic and priced reasonably. They have something for everyone. I am typically a steak guy but ordered a vegetarian dish and loved it. I had food envy for what everyone else ordered. This place is next to some fun... More

This was our first visit to The Macintosh and it was great. There were 6 people in our group and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was over the top and we would go back just because of her if the food wasn't so great. Everyone selected something different and was extremely pleased. The waitress was very helpful with recommendation.... More

We had a wonderful meal here. We loved how the staff worked together to bring out food and drinks. Our drinks were perfectly crafted and our food was cooked to perfection.

Visited Macintosh's this past weekend, and it was great, sat at the lively bar and had a few drinks before our reservation. Had a nice table, not as loud as I was expecting. Scallop appetizer was amazing! I had the Duck and Andouille dish which was outstanding, my wife had the pork shoulder which she liked, however said mine was... More

We were told that other chefs in Charleston choose the chef at Macintosh as their favorite chef in the city. We were not disappointed. The local Triggerfish and Tilefish were both excellent. Be sure to check out the hidden back patio as a place to dine.

My wife and I took Monday the 9th to get away for Valentines Day. We are both in the service industry (we manage a restaurant in our home town) and we had a small window to celebrate this great rookie holiday. I decided to surprise her with a night in Charleston. We had reservation at another place in town, but... More

We arrived early for our reservation and had a drink at the bar--The Truese Hurts--which was green, smokey and definitely interesting. Friendly , welcoming staff. Ordered a bottle of wine for dinner, a French Cab Franc that was light and fruity enough to go with my husbands pork and my trigger fish, both of which were excellent. Our waiter gave... More
