We dined at The MacIntosh last night - excellent from beginning to end. We were a very large party and the food and service was flawless. Meat, seafood, and vegetables were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had a duck bulgogi appetizer and the pork Osso Bucco. However, we all shared our selections. The Osso Bucco was served with delicious... More

Last month, my wife and I flew to Charleston for a mini-vacation. During one of our evenings there, our hotel concierge recommended us having dinner at The Macintosh restaurant in the Heritage District of Charleston. We were not disappointed. The Macintosh is an upscale, fusion-style restaurant and furnished in a modern style. The staff there are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.... More

It's nice to visit a restaurant in which you get the sense that the staff genuinely care about the quality of the food and the service. The menu contains a variety of options and the server made some excellent recommendations. The pork main was excellent, as was the wine. The atmosphere was buzzy. Well worth a visit.

We were there at 9 p.m. on a Friday night, so the place was quite crowded. We spent some time at the bar while waiting for the table. The beer and wine selection was good, the bar staff was fast. The bar itself was packed with people waiting on their tables and people eating at the bar. \ Our table... More

Mac attack sounds a little off-putting however it is arguably the best breakfast I've ever had. Vegetable frittata was good but didn't compare

The menu has a wide variety of interesting choices, including fresh fish. The waiter was very knowledgeable about menu items, which helped in making choices. Nice cocktail selection and good wine list. Like too many places today, the atmosphere was dark and loud which made talking with fellow diners difficult.

Loved this place. Came for Sunday brunch and had the spicy chorizo with polenta, kale, and poached egg. Amazing! My husband had the Mac burger and that was good too, especially the truffle fries. Will definitely be back!

Our dinner here followed an exceptional one at Zero Cafe + Bar the previous night and Macintosh was a disappointment by comparison. Based on other reviews, we expected so much more of this restaurant. Atmosphere was lacking. We sat outside. The heirloom tomato pie was more like a bacon quiche topped with a thin tomato slice. And the bone marrow... More

I think maybe this restaurant has fallen victim to the Foodie Movement in Charleston. Many of the items on the menu were either so obscure or had such fancy names the very young waitress spent a lot of time explaining what the food was. The Bone Marrow Bread Pudding didn't taste like anything and the Oatmeal ice cream tasted more... More

Call me snob, but when I go to a restaurant where they leave the pig out by the serving station to stare at the customers, I expect really good delivery. The pig didn't bother me like it did others at my table, but what did was that we couldn't hear our server. She was congenial, she smiled, but we couldn't... More
