We had the best brunch we've ever had here. The chicken and waffles came with two huge pieces of juicy fried chicken on top of a waffle, and the biscuits and gravy had incredible flavor. We also got the funnel cake for fun and devoured that like we were little kids at a theme park. The service was also excellent... More

I spend a week every month in the South Carolina Low Country. I stay downtown in Charleston these days and have a few regular spots...the MacIntosh is on that list. They have one of the best burgers in town called "The Mac". There is a good selection of brews and a nice bar area. It is a great place to... More

When I saw that the McIntosh Burger had been listed as 1 of Southern Living's Top 10 burgers in SC, I had to try them all. I believe the McIntosh is the most expensive but it was delicious. My wife and daughter ordered other items and they loved them. So, never hesitate to eat at The Mac!

A delicious and very filling three courses for $40, professionally served by the bartender, kept this return visit above par as expected. The scallop appetizer was prepared to perfection, still barely translucent centers, with an array of tasty vegetable tidbits like charred brussel sprout leaves in the mix. Tilefish likewise done perfectly, with a crispy pan seared side, and delectable... More

It was my birthday and we didn't have reservations due to a last minute change in our dinner plans. The restaurant had good reviews and the chef uses local produce. We were told it would be a 1 to 2 hr wait although we could be seated right away in the outdoor area, which was fine since it was extremely... More

I was not overly impressed with this meal. The service was attentive and nice. The ambiance was so-so, very loud, dark, and tables are close together. The wine list was nice. We had the CAB hanger steak and a fish entrée as well as starters and dessert. The vegetables were fresh and al dente, but the portions were on the... More

Each item on the menu is complicated with ingredients. All our outstanding but having several on the same plate is just a bit too much. Would like to see the menu offer a few basics, or simple to mix with the complicated. The salad was pretty salty. The other things we ordered were wonderful. We were referred to this restaurant... Amazing birthday dinner surprise from my birthday. It really set the bar for me for Charleston restaurants. I loved the charcuterie!!! It was top notch - we almost ordered two and ate them and the fresh bread as our meal!

We were fortunate to meet some friends who live on Seabrook Island at The McIntosh for dinner. We started with cocktails at the bars upstairs and next door. The dinner was outstanding. Great apps and unique salads. Duck Breast, Swordfish and Grouper entrees were really good. Nice wine selection and super deserts. Located on King St., the up and coming... More

A lovely place and amazing food. Service was excellent. The duck entree I had was perfect. Make sure to make a reservation in advance.
