Tired after a full day of sightseeing, we wanted quick service, good food not too fancy. Well, this spot definitely delivered. We were at Mac.s on a Monday at about 4:30 pm. The place was not jumping but what place is at that time of day. In our group of 3, ordered was a pecan and chicken salad, and a... More

My family was looking for a casual place to eat and get out of the rain. We happened upon Macs and I am glad we did. Service and food was great. When you get a hamburger you can tell them what wing sauce to dip it in , they also have several cheeses to choose from to put on your... More

We just spent a great evening here! Several drinks and pleasant company in a relaxing atmosphere. We even made a new friend from England!

Watched the UT ballgame here on Sunday night. The bartenders were great and their fried pickles were delicious. Have great beer specials and are located right on East Bay Street in the heart of downtown.

Great place for a cold beer and lunch. There's are enough TV's to watch multiple sports events at one time.

My girlfriend and I have been in Charleston for about 3 days and out of all the places we ate at, Mac's Place had the best service and food hands down. The beer was good, we both had fish and chips that was good, and the Irish nachos made me want to move here from Florida. I was getting worried... More

We went there with a table full of teenage girls...ending up being swept away with the world cup frenzy...we laughed and had a blast. They were out of many choices (because of large world cup crowds they said) but we had fun anyway and had some good food. The place was clean and loud...service was sluggish but come on! It's... We stopped on a hot day for tea and a light lunch. We ordered appetizers for lunch, food was good. Service was very SLOW and when she took my CC to pay she somehow made a mistake and had to get the manager to reprint a copy for me to sign. The total on this copy was $4.00 more than... More

We were looking for a simple bite to eat and true to its name, there's drinks and pub style food. The service was okay, considering there were not too many people there. I had a basic salad and the spouse had a Greek salad. Nothing special but not bad, either. Decent value but not my first...or second choice for a... More

If you like to sit among a lot of mouth drunken college students and listen to blaring music so loud you cannot carry on a normal conversation then this is the place for you, not me. The fish n chips were the worst I've ever had. The sauce that came with it tasted sour or even spoiled. The only consolation... More
