Great place for late night snacks and drinks. A bit quirky, a TV that continually shows old movies (some with subtitles). Robin (the Owner) is always open for any conversation on any subject. Great place highly recommend.

Wish I had discovered this charming establishment on my previous trips to Charleston. Have visited five times in the past few years and had never tried East Bay. The friends we were with live in North Charleston and they had never been there either. But they loved it as much as we did. We only had drinks and a cheese... More

This is a certain gentleman, or gentlewoman's bar. Lovely menu, with some tastes that are definitely southern with an upgrade. The chocolate martinis have a Ferror Rocher chocolate in the center, what isn't to love about that... ? Definite place to get the window seat and have brunch or come for a late night snack and specialty drink. Service was... More

Dropped by for a warm drink on this chilly autumn afternoon. Great service. Great atmosphere with French music and tables by the window. Irish coffee and warm apple cider hit the spot.

I love this charming spot on E. Bay St. It has everything you need. Fruit for something healthy, 10 layered cake for something decadent and a wonderful atmosphere. Tapas and plentiful food is available. I'm giving it 5 stars in spite of the lack of smile on the staff. If they were a little bit friendlier this would be a... More

I stopped here during happy hour a few nights ago, intending to have a light supper and a glass of wine. Portions looked generous, so I opted for an appetizer of spinach dip with roasted red peppers and pita bread. It was perfect! Wonderful friendly atmosphere made me feel very welcome.

We stumbled upon this lovely french bistro and fell in love with it. During our three night stay in Charleston we dined here three times. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner tapas. A great intimate setting.

Stopped in here while walking around Charleston on Sunday morning. They have a limited menu. We had the French Toast made from croissant and the bagel with smoked salmon---both excellent. The coffee was just what we needed to recharge our batteries!

My wife and I found the East Bay a great place to relax and have a drink during our visit to Charleston this past October 2014. Maybe it was the disappointment with all the hype about the Charleston that made difference, but the East Bay was a relaxing spot. Never too crowded, good service and great drinks.
