What a lovely place. My wife and I happened upon this cafe during an afternoon walk around Charleston. We enjoyed the quiche and salad, and latte, and the quiet surroundings and tasteful decor. Our host was friendly and unassuming. We would certainly make a return visit to the East Bay Meeting House if we are in Charleston again.

I regularly travel to Charleston, and I make a point to always come back to East Bay. From my very first visit, East Bay was a perfect blend of conversations and cocktails. Whether you want morning coffee or an evening night cap, East Bay is the place where you can have conversations and hear each other, enjoy good food, great... More

We had a great sandwich and drink here for lunch. Seems to be a family run place. Definitely recommend for lunch or a late night drink.

A local friend recommended East Bay for desert and drinks. The restaurant is very quaint but not completely crowded. There is a good selection of drinks and deserts and they even have a food menu for light meals. The bar tender was very attentive and quick to respond to our requests. We sampled a variety of deserts which were all... More

Great place for late night snacks and drinks. A bit quirky, a TV that continually shows old movies (some with subtitles). Robin (the Owner) is always open for any conversation on any subject. Great place highly recommend.

Wish I had discovered this charming establishment on my previous trips to Charleston. Have visited five times in the past few years and had never tried East Bay. The friends we were with live in North Charleston and they had never been there either. But they loved it as much as we did. We only had drinks and a cheese... More

This is a certain gentleman, or gentlewoman's bar. Lovely menu, with some tastes that are definitely southern with an upgrade. The chocolate martinis have a Ferror Rocher chocolate in the center, what isn't to love about that... ? Definite place to get the window seat and have brunch or come for a late night snack and specialty drink. Service was... More

Dropped by for a warm drink on this chilly autumn afternoon. Great service. Great atmosphere with French music and tables by the window. Irish coffee and warm apple cider hit the spot.

I love this charming spot on E. Bay St. It has everything you need. Fruit for something healthy, 10 layered cake for something decadent and a wonderful atmosphere. Tapas and plentiful food is available. I'm giving it 5 stars in spite of the lack of smile on the staff. If they were a little bit friendlier this would be a... More

I stopped here during happy hour a few nights ago, intending to have a light supper and a glass of wine. Portions looked generous, so I opted for an appetizer of spinach dip with roasted red peppers and pita bread. It was perfect! Wonderful friendly atmosphere made me feel very welcome.
