Description: Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Excellent seafood, service and great atmosphere. Be sure to try the fried green tomatoes and check out the gorgeous oyster shell chandeliers hanging above!

The place is a must! We ate lunch here and it was one of the best meals we had in Charleston! The blackened shrimp over cornbread appetizer was OUTSTANDING. The cornbread was sweet and the sauce over the shrimp was delicious. The fried green tomato BLT with pimento cheese was superb. Definitely worth going back to again and again!

Everything here is fabulous. Go for drinks and order a bunch of appetizers. You can't go wrong. Dinner selections are avante garde southern. Skip the traditional Poogan's Porch type places and just go here. And the late night crowd features many of Charleston's famous chefs, who gather here after their shifts because the drinks and food are top drawer.

The food is very good. Our service on this occasion was a bit slow. We were in no hurry so we didn't care. It is a little noisy. Great oysters on the half shell.

There are so many restaurants in Charleston... but in one weekend there is so little time! I've been here four times now in 3 visits. I can't say enough about this place. Our waitress was great - a real professional. She was bubbly, without being annoying; knowledgeable; had great recommendations, was funny and really efficient. We had incredible local oysters,... We picked this restaurant after reading a review before arriving. We stopped in for luch and wish we had had time to return for dinner. The she crab soup was the best of all the restaurants that we visited while in Chrleston. We also had shrimp corn dogs for lunch. Shrimp on a stick, rolled in corn meal, and deep... More

Lilly has THE best memory, the most personable stance, and always has a smile on her face! She loves meeting and especially impressing people with her cocktails! She made us feel the most comfortable I've felt during a business venture! There was zero awkwardness and she made sure all of her customers were taken care of at all times! Beautiful,... More

We went here a couple years ago and it was great then ... not disappointed this time either. There Fried Green Tomatoes are one of the best in Charleston. She Crab soup wonderful. Oysters Rockefeller very good. One of my favorite places to eat in Charleston when we visit.
