Description: Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name...
Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Nice atmosphere

Michael our server was outstanding. The mussels appetizer is the best in the city. Great bar selections as well. Menu is not over complicated. Hush puppies is a must.

Good food and decent spot. Food was good but nothing spectacular. It was our first visit and it is possible that we just did not order the right things. We would try it again.

My husband was excited about getting fresh oysters unfortunately he made a reservation for the wrong night. When we went to check in the hostess told him we didn't have a reservation. After figuring out what happened they were able to get us in. It was a fun night out for us. The food was amazing and the staff was... More

I spend roughly half a year in Charleston and have been to Amen Street several times. It's ok - nothing great - there is a reason you can walk in on a Saturday night and get a table - it just isn't as good as the other spots in town which are booked well in advance. The place is pretty... More

She crab soup was excellent, the tuna tacos were nice but almost no ahi tuna in the taco, mostly cabbage. My wife's scallops were also very good. Very small pour for our wines.

It is great that you had a chance to try our Amen Street, but we are sorry the heartiness of the cuisine did not meet your expectations. We will definitely let our bar staff know about your weak poured glasses of wine as well. We hope you will consider giving us another chance the next time you are in town. More

My husband and I traveled to Charleston for the first time this past weekend. We made reservations at Amen Street and were not one bit disappointed. The food was excellent, but our server, Michael, was the real reason we had a great experience. Michael was attentive, offered great suggestions, and never kept us waiting. I

Amen Street is mediocre to me. I've visited a few times for Bloody Mary's and lunch, & have always left wishing I had gone somewhere else. The bar staff seems to need a little work on their approach. We also found a hair in our food the last time. They fixed the problem by taking the item off the bill,... More
