Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Great place for lunch!

Stopped for lunch here with our son, his GF and her parents. Great location near the Market, nice friendly service and wonderful atmosphere. We each had something different, and each of us was pleased.

Wife and i ate there after a friend recommended it. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We split a Cesar salad after seeing the couple next to us enjoying one and it was plenty. We also had the calamari steak and it was the best we've ever had!

My wife and I went - always sit at the bar - and had a fun time. The Bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My wife ordered something that wasn't what she liked and they had it switched out to her new favorite right away. Had a great time!

Typical South Carolina dishes well-prepared. Helpful waitress. Only drawback was the ambient noise and ever-present music.

We enjoyed dinner there and found the oysters fresh and well prepared. The shrimp corn dogs were fun and the peel and eat shrimp were perfect. She crab soup was a hit and our entrees were tasty: seared flounder and ahi tuna tacos.

Best Oysters and Shrimp we have had in a long time. Made several trips to the restarant during our stay. Tried some other restarants for seafood but just could not compare.

Difficult for me to review: if you like oysters and want them and something else to follow, then this place is great. I don't, so I had the She Crab Soup (which was superb) and the Calamari (which was just about OK). My wife had the Fried Green Tomatoes which was very average. Service, surroundings and ambience were top notch.... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are glad that you really enjoyed the She Crab Soup, but hoped you would have liked your other choices just as much. We hope you will try us out again the next time you are in Charleston. More

In he french quarters of Charleston just a stones throw from the harbour is this fish restaurant. Their fried calamari is to die for, but skip the fried oysters. A nice enough menu that will appeal to most people and fairly good prices.

We went to Amen Street Fish & Raw bar March 15, around 5:00 pm. Since the place was fairly busy already, and all we wanted were some raw oysters, we decided to sit at the bar to have a drink and eat. Upon being seated at the bar we ordered a drink and two dozen raw oysters. The bartender was... More
