Description: Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Small and personal. We'll designed. Huge bar for the size of the overall space. You can sit right up front in all the action, or you can ask to be in the back where it seems more secluded. We took up front since we always favor an upbeat ambiance. Oysters and seafood tacos. Awesome night.

We really enjoyed our lunch here! It's mostly a seafood oyster bar but there was something for everyone in the menu. The raw bar items were fresh and tasty but the calamari steak with corn ragu appetizer was a show stopper! it was a far cry from the usual fried calamari you see at most restaurants. There also were salads... More

This was an extremely pleasant dinner. We got in late armed with a voucher for fried green tomatoes from our hotel. We ate at the bar as all the tables except one were occupied. I don't like the way there are two-tops along two walls separated by about 12" of space. Not really appropriate for private conversation. The ambience, all... More

We for dinner with family on our trip to Charleston. The oysters were good, however the jambalaya left a lot to be desired. It was not the traditional southern jambalaya that we had had down south. Would probably go back just for drinks and oysters.

The attractive glass case of fresh oysters at the entrance to the restaurant was the first clue that we'd found the right place to eat in Charleston. While the restaurant is casual, there is nothing casual about the service or food. High quality preparations of fresh seafood were appreciated. The server was knowledgeable about food and beverage pairings and could... More

I loved the oyster she'll chandeliers! My husband, baby, and I went here for lunch and had a dozen oysters and the fresh fish entrees. You pick your fish and one of several ways of cooking it. They check off which fish they have available. Everything was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was great too. If... More

Attractive ambience with interesting drawings on wall. Long traditional bar for drinking and watching oyster shucking etc. plus booths and tables. Can see fresh oysters on display. Enjoyed the shrimp ceviche. Serving food and drinks all day.
