Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Fresh Seafood in downtown Charleston

Very comfortable spot, right in the middle of town. Parking garage and (after dinner) cigar lounge close by. A little loud and bustling without feeling crowed. Big open space with high ceilings. The food selection was large enough, offering mostly seafood and the quality of it was high. Prices... read more

This was a recommendation, we had great service but not real impressed with the food. It was ok, but seemed to be lacking some oomph!

We truly enjoyed our visit to Amen for happy hour during our visit to Charleston. The broth in the mussels was absolutely delicious. The bartender, Josh, was great. He really takes his job seriously!

Friendly and helpful service. The guy in charge of the oysters was super nice and knowledgeable. Happy hour prices are a real bargain. Oysters were delicious and there is a great, diverse selection.

Stopped in and had a really good lunch with the family, would definitely return. Had the best She-crab soup I have ever tasted. Fair price, really nice food and good service.

We were planning to go to another restaurant but it was very crowded so we decide to walk and came across Amen. More like an upscale tavern with outstanding food, especially the oysters. Our waiter Michael was excellent and when he found out the we were there for our 38th Wedding Anniversary he gave us dessert on the House. Would... More

There were 7 of us. 4 of us ordered shrimp po boy, 2 burgers and one crab and shrimp sandwich. Although the food was good and our server was excellent it took 40 minutes to get food. Server kept refilling our sodas i was so full of soda when meal came.

We went here for my dads birthday dinner and had expected excellence from all the good reviews but am sad to say it was nothing spectacular and was completely average from the service to the food to the vibe. The... More

Having dinner and drinks here is a must. We have come now for a couple years and it has remained consistently awesome! Everything from the raw bar to the drinks were fantastic. The service was great and stayed on top of all of our needs. Ashlyn was great during our multiple visits!!

Enjoyed the raw bar and ambience (brick walls, chandeliers, etc.). Would recommend for a casual spot with good food.
