Amen Street was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, the King's Courtyard. He even gave us a card for complimentary fried green tomatoes. The restaurant had very cool decor and a laid back feel. Our server, Danielle, was attentive and helpful with our meal choices. And every bit of our meals was delicious. We tried each other's dish in... More

The food and service were both more than we could have asked for. My husband loved the tuna tacos so much that he wanted to return the next day for lunch. The risotto was some of the best I have ever had. While in Charleston you will not want to miss having dinner at Amen Street.

The interior is nicely furnished but it gets a little loud at times. The food is very good and the portions filling.

The she crab soup was tasty but the oysters were perfect. We also loved the seared tile fish and the shrimp-lobster risotto was good. Creme Brulė was a nice way to close. The arrive was impeccable.

We stopped in for a quick small lunch because we did not want to ruin our appetite for an early dinner. My husband had peel and eat shrimp and I ordered a dozen raw oysters. Everything was very good, fresh and cold as it should be. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because it took forever... More

We dined here last time we were in Charleston three years ago. I'm happy to write that the food is still amazing. The restaurant has a good ambiance and charm. We started with some raw oysters and she crab soup. Our server added sherry to the soup and it was fantastic. My wife ordered grilled tuna and I ordered shrimp... More

We were craving raw oysters and boiled shrimp and they fit the bill. Good service. I also enjoyed the she crab soup. My wife had the shrimp and grits which was tasty.

The food was absolutly nothing special. The service was quite average. The ambience though was very nice. Dont come to this restaurant expecting great food.

The food was just okay. Not really worth the price. Nothing was really great. Wouldn't recommend or come back. The fish was very fresh, ambience was good, and oysters were nice, but nothing would really bring me back. There was no wow factor. I would go somewhere else.

Started out with the oysters which were tasty. Unfortunately they were out of VA oysters....the best. Had the shrimp & grits which were definitely the best I have had so far in Charleston. The sauce with tomatoes and ham made the grits so yummy. Others had the salmon and crab cakes which they loved. Too full for dessert.
