Nice hotel restaurant

We stayed here at the Marriott and the Safire is a nice hotel restaurant. It's not fine dining, but the menu is nice, the food was prepared well, and the service was fine. At various points in the week, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The place was great. Made to order eggs brought to your table. Staff very friendly. Not you typical hotel restaurant. Wife ate lunch she said she crab soup and salad very good. Happy smile on her face.

My friend and I dinned in the restaurant before leaving for the airport. I had the breakfast buffet and she ordered off the menu. The server was very nice, the buffet was good, and overall a nice ending to our stay in Charleston.

Slow slow slow service. Was disappointed in the server and restaurant area. The first table we were sat at was almost collapsing (broken leg). We had to wait and find someone to seat us elsewhere because there were about 5 other tables that were dirty. The food itself was okay. I would not seek out this place to eat.

Thank you, K.E.J, for your feedback. We are thrilled to announce that we have finally received a date for the rennovation of Saffire Restaurant! Rennovations will start in December, and will be complete by mid January. We agree that we are in desperate need of a refresh in that space. As for your service complaints, I will absolutely look in... More

Great Hotel Restaurant. My family and I really enjoyed our lunch here at the hotel. We were staying at the hotel and decided to try it. Everything we had was very nice... especially the sandwiches. The shrimp cocktail very good, fresh.

Great food and service. I tried the local firefly vodka (try once to decide - not a return for me) and the waiter explained how locals would drink it (drowned in lemonade). The shrimp and grits, Charleston's signature dish was delicious and so were the oyster. Service, prompt, courteous and helpful.

My son and a friend ate breakfast here before leaving for a golf day. They mentioned that the restaurant's food was better than usual in hotels.
