Tucked away in an unpretentious location is a wonderful gourmet surprise. Serving breakfast and lunch, the Sunflower Cafe is well worth a visit when you visit the Plantations near Charleston. The place is bright and cheery, service excellent, and food - beyond description. Since I was with several people, we got a chance to taste different items on the menu.... More

Very good reviews, so we thought this was a real find for breakfast. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet, which was so-so in taste, and my wife ordered the spinach, feta and sun-dried tomatoes, which lacked in feta and the sun-dried tomatoes were tough. The home fried potatoes were soggy, and when I mentioned it, I was told next time... More

A little off the beaten oath, happened upon it on our way to Middleton Place. Breakfast was great (try the beneigts...spelling?). Service was quick and friendly, very reasonable...

We started with their delicious beignets and coffee. I had the "country ham benedict," which was fantastic! My husband had the filet & mushroom omelette and he said it was perfect. Everything was fresh and incredibly delicious. It's a small local place with a comfortable atmosphere and very friendly employees. Excellent prices. Don't miss having a breakfast here!

On our way to Middleton Place and stopped in for lunch. I ordered the Best Sandwich in Charleston and my wife ordered the crab cake sandwich. My meal was ok...nothing spectacular. My wife's meal was mixed up with a BLT sandwich at first presentation. The crab sandwich that she finally received was also ok. Also it took more time for... More

Sunflower Cafe is definitely a hidden gem of the West Ashley area, with a big local following but a great place for anyone traveling through to visit. There's plenty of parking and the decor kind of reminds you of eating at grandma's house. It's not fancy, but the food is delicious and service is great. Our server kept our drinks... More

Went on a Sunday morning and figured the long wait meant a good breakfast. But we were really disappointed. While the service was fast and friendly, our two omelettes were very under cooked, so much that so that one of them ran all over the plate - could have used a straw to eat most of it. And the potatoes... More

My wife and I visited the Sunflower Cafe while visiting Charleston on our honeymoon. I ordered the crab and fried green tomato benedict which was very good. My wife ordered a cheese omelette with bacon. The omelette was extremely oily and inedible. My wife had to send it back and have our ticket adjusted. Service was friendly and the server... More
