Good food depending on what you get

My wife and I visited the Sunflower Cafe while visiting Charleston on our honeymoon. I ordered the crab and fried green tomato benedict which was very good. My wife ordered a cheese omelette with bacon. The omelette was extremely oily and inedible. My wife had to send it back and have our... read more

Went on a Sunday morning and figured the long wait meant a good breakfast. But we were really disappointed. While the service was fast and friendly, our two omelettes were very under cooked, so much that so that one of them ran all over the plate - could have used a straw to eat most of it. And the potatoes... More

We found the Sunflower Café online and liked the reviews. It was not close to our hotel, but easy to get to, so we went. It was excellent. We arrived about 9 on Saturday morning and were greeted and immediately shown to our table. The regular menu looked good, but we opted for the specials - stuffed French toast and... More

While visiting family in South Carolina, my husband and I have enjoyed the offerings at Sunflower twice now. They offer well-prepared breakfast foods, but with a twist.....a very tasty twist. This last visit, I relished the sweet potato pancakes with pecan butter! Delightful! The menu is not too large, not too limited, but creative and rewarding. We will be back... More

Loved this little cafe. Great food, servers, and customers. We went there for breakfast and there was huge variety on the menu.

I had the good fortune of returning to Charleston after a near 5 year absence and re-visited this cafe on a recent trip. The mark of a sustainable restaurant is how all good things remain the same. The menu offers great variety...everything from shrimp and grits to fried offerings to salads. The sweet tea is memorable and the service is... More

First time I've ever had crab eggs Benedict. They were great. If you like strong coffee, this place will serve it up until you bounce off the walls!

We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in West Ashley is definitely a cafe. There is a fair amount of seating but we did notice from some of the other reviews there can sometimes be a wait. The cafe is itself very bright and cheery, and caters to the local clientele (as...
