Good biscuits and grits

After flying all night, this breakfast was everything a good breakfast should be. We had Crab and Green Tomato Benedict, a cheese and tomato omelet, the standard eggs and toast, and Beignets. After flying all night, this breakfast was everything a good breakfast should be. We had Crab and Green Tomato Benedict, a cheese and tomato omelet, the standard eggs and toast, and Beignets. The staff were friendly, the coffee hot, and the locals plentiful. The grits and biscuits were done just right and the beignets hot and tasty. I look forward... More

Stopped here for lunch on our drive to Middleton Plantation. This came as a recommendation from an airport employee. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. I had the salmon salad with cranberries and sweet pecans. It was a generous serving. The wait staff were very friendly and gave great service. Price was affordable. $$

Husband and son-in-law found this place when they were moving furniture to Charleston. Daughter and I went back with them when we arrived. Super breakfast! The omelettes are very good, especially the spinach, tomato, and feta. I had grits and a biscuit with the omelette and it was the perfect sized breakfast. The home fried potatoes are good if you... Enjoyed breakfast here! Had been hoping for a crab omelet that someone else reviewed, but I think that must have been a special that is only on weekends. We had the standard eggs, potatoes, sausage and biscuit -- and everything was good! Eggs done perfectly. The standard potatoes were unusual, with worcestchire sauce, onions and peppers. I was concerned I... More

Get there early as its not open for dinner, just breakfast and lunch. They are famous for their omelettes and having experienced one of them I can see why. I am not a person that likes grits but their grits made me a fan. Its not fancy by any means but the food is delicious, the place is clean, the... More

Extremely disappointed! Tables sticky. Trash on floor. Given a menu then after selecting our items were told we couldn't get lunch items ... We came for Charleston's best sandwich ... But couldn't even get a BLT without tomato ... What would that be? Yes-basically bacon and bread - both breakfast items but I guess that was too difficult. Again extremely... More

Yummy omelette, pancakes, and waffles. Food was awesome! And, the service was good too! We will definitely go back next time we are in Charleston!

Little hole-in-the-wall, recommended by Drayton Hall Plantation. The shrimp & brie omelette was excellent, as were the grits with cheese. But it was the biscuits that blew our minds. We have had the hockey pucks and the greasy variety, these were perfect. Oh, and the service? Personable and perfect. Find it and eat there, but bare in mind, it has... More

Tucked away in an unpretentious location is a wonderful gourmet surprise. Serving breakfast and lunch, the Sunflower Cafe is well worth a visit when you visit the Plantations near Charleston. The place is bright and cheery, service excellent, and food - beyond description. Since I was with several people, we got a chance to taste different items on the menu.... More
