This was our second visit to Toast, our first visit was two years ago on our 10 year anniversary vacation. We came back because the food was amazing and it's safe to say we'll be coming back again thanks to the dining experience our waiter Yony gave us. He was very knowledgable about the dishes and Charleston.

Went there for breakfast on 9/12/14 with 7 other women, the waitress was great and sweet, (can't remember her name) the food was out of it's world. Highly recommend to go early, we got there at 8:30 a.m. and it was just perfect, because after that it was a long waiting line.

We were on Middle St. in Charleston and it was lunch time. I plugged in a request in my GPS for nearby restaurants and up popped 'Toast", about a block away. We had about a 20 minute wait to be seated. We were waited on at once and ordered she-crab soup, salad and I had a burger. All the food... More

Had the best fried chicken of my trip, delicious, also I tried the meatloaf, was very good, their sides are great, super great prices. Peach cobbler was delicious, authentic. Service is great, really recommend this place for southern pleasure.

This place is one place that packs in the locals which is always a good sign. It is right across the street from Market Square so it makes a great starting place for the day. The food is exceptional, the pancakes and waffles are the absolute best, the service is very good, and your coffee cup is never empty. Put... More

I travel to Charleston 1-2 times per month (for the last 6+ months) and eat breakfast at Toast every chance I get. They are conveniently located in the downtown area so an easy walk from many hotels. It is a popular tourist venue so there can be a wait during the summer months - but it's worth it. I have... More

Eight Ladies met at the Toast Restaurant, Charleston, SC, Saturday, September13th! We are visiting Charleston attending the John Deere Landscapes Women in the Green Conference which brings Ladies in the Green Industry (from throughout the U.S.) together once a year, this year in Charleston. Our transportation driver suggested The Toast. The meal was outstanding, the best breakfast/brunch.. Large portions, unique... More

They're reasonably priced and service is always fast and friendly. Definitely try the fried green tomato BLT with a crab cake. I've never gotten them before, but they also have bottomless mimosas on Sundays (I believe that's the correct day of the week).

We went after a long day of doing touristy things in the area and didn't really make a reservation for a Saturday night, so at 8:00 pm we called and they were able to get us in immediately. Food was very good. Reasonably priced and had a relaxed atmosphere.

Wow what a great time we had on our return visit to Toast! This is one of our favorite stops each time we come to Charleston. If you go for Breakfast try the home fries, really crisp and taste great. On this trip we had a wonderful server named Mary, she was welcoming, kind, and fun!
