This place has amazing food and customer service. John was our server and he was great! One of the best breakfast places I've ever been.

I needed to burn some time before visiting a tourist site that opened at 1 pm and wanted a nice cup of green tea and a snack. The Toast had pictures of steaming beverages outside so I thought it would be a good choice - alas, they had no green tea, only black or herbal. It was raining outside so... More

There are not many "basic" restaurants to get breakfast in historic Charleston. Toast had everything we wanted. We were greeted in a very friendly way, and were seated immediately, which I know doesn't always happen. I had a triple cheese omelet, which was excellent. Best part of the breakfast was the grits - I had grits just about every day... More

I frequently visit Charleston and I always make it a point to visit Toast at least once. They have amazing coffees and really good breakfast foods served in a nice rustic setting. Always filled with locals and super friendly staff. Special thanks to Beth this last trip, amazing as always

Our hostess at Indigo Inn recommend Toast for breakfast and she was correct the place was delish! I had the specialty omelette with grits and the homemade biscuit was to die for! My husband had the stuffed French toast with Apples and cinnamon which he loved ! Great food !

the French toast with apples and apple-infused maple syrup was incredible, as were our two different egg dishes, the large oatmeal was offered with raisins, brown sugar and banana. Service by Beth T was excellent. She is a friendly face for Charleston! We will be back!

We managed to get lucky and walk right into a seat at the bar at Toast, but there was soon a line down the block. No wonder as the breakfast was excellent -- the eggs benedict-esque fried green tomato topped by a crab caked poached egg is a standout, but everything that we saw being served looked good. Service at... More

This was my second time eating at Toast. The food is great and the staff is wonderful. The manager and our server were amazing. They knew we are new to the area and took extra time to make us feel so comfortable. David ( our server) was very sweet and nice. Excellent service!

This is always a stop while in Charleston. Awesome breakfast. Great service. Get there early because it's always crowded and worth the wait!

Enjoyed a straight up Bloody Mary - brunch/lunch food was good and reasonably priced - waitstaff were friendly - felt like a normal restaurant - a nice respite from all the high end foodie places
