We arrived in Charleston late in the evening and Toast was the only restaurant we could get a table at without reservations. The food quality was outstanding! Their she-crab soup, catfish, seafood platter, crab cakes and rib-eye stake with blue cheese were outstanding! The service was excellent. We had sweet tea (with unlimited re-fills) and they even gave us some... More

Service was quick, food was awesome. I tried their signature poached egg over crab cake over fried green tomato. My only negative was $4.50 for a cafe Americano. My son had the philly steak on a biscuit. Very good. A lot of food; couldn't finish it all.

Don't bother with the average breakfasts at your hotels and go here! I ordered this dish with a fried green tomato under a crab cake, poached egg, and some delicious sauce. It comes with the biggest and most delicious biscuit I've seen and home fries or grits (home fries were excellent). This is a popular restaurant and gets busy, so... More

We came by on a Sunday around noon and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait!!! The brunch menu offers a good balance of both sweet and savory... More

We were visiting Charleston in mid-August and stumbled upon Toast. Nothing fancy about the establishment, but we were immediately impressed with our host who wasn't afraid to have a little fun with us :) The food we sampled was outstanding...especially the she crab soup and blt w/fried green tomatoes...YUMMY! Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Everything about this restaurant was perfect. We went in STARVING after walking all day, so we loaded up on tons of food and drinks. Every bite was AMAZING!! We started with Crab Cakes, Crab Dip and Green Tomato Bruschetta, then I had the Sweet Tea Glazed Fried Chicken and my husband had the Ribeye. We both had asparagus and mashed... More
