We ordered the grouper and milk-braised pork shoulder and both were excellent. The service was great, the ambience was delightful and we enjoyed our evening very much. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Four of us dined here on a Saturday night. We found it absolutely delightful! Located is a less busy part of town in an old house, the rooms are small and you have a feeling of privacy. Unlike many Charleston restaurants, we were able to easily carry on a conversation. The service was excellent and Allen gave us very good... More

My wife and I ate dinner here upon the advise of the concierge at our hotel. We were seated on the second floor, in a small room with three other tables and it gave the feeling of having a private space. We were served by a husband and wife, and they were knowledgeable about the food and very helpful. The... More

We had six in our dinner party on a Sunday evening in cold, dreary January. I had been looking forward to going to Muse for days, as it had been on my list of 'must-try restaurants' for awhile. It was lovely. The soft lighting, ancient building, curved wooden steps, individual rooms, all added to the ambiance.Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and... More

I ate dinner at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Muse. The food was excellent and the bartender, Drew, did a fantastic job. Highly recommended!

Loved the music, and the dining rooms which are in different rooms within this old house. Old, 160 years old, with the original walls, ceilings... I have to say, I was a bit put off by the condition of this place. At first, I thought well, maybe they haven't earned enough to freshen the paint and clean up the chips... More

The restaurant is in an old Charleston home. The several rooms for dining substantially reduce the noise level, always an annoyance in most good restaurants. The osso bucco was wonderful, as were the steaks. Fine salads and a great selection of desserts. Presentation was beautiful and the service superior despite a jammed house on New Year's Eve. Excellent bar.

A group of us gather together every year to celebrate the old year and welcome in the new year at different fine restaurants in downtown Charleston - Fish, McCradys, SNOB, Husk, Halls Chop House, etc. This year Muse was our choice and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the dining rooms were European in decor, and the drinks... More

Muse is a delightful alternative to the East Bay Street eateries, offering some unique influences on more predictable Charleston cuisine. Years ago, I had followed some folks from a Charleston Preservation Society meeting because they were heading to Muse for the lamb sausage. They knew what they were talking about! Christening this new year, I had a sea bass that... More
