Everything but hostess again

I love coming here, hence why I give it 4 stars. The service from wait staff is excellent and the food is sooo good. The fresh fish is always the way to go. What ever the special chefs choice, go with it. My only complaint the long hair blonde hostess. She is always touching her hair and... read more

I'd first like to address some of the reviews I've read that the place is dingy and rundown. It's got character! It looks like it's been painted to create the facade that it's

We were here during Spaleto, the food was innovative. We all found something delicious to have, we had 16 people but they did a great job of serving us all together and the restraint was filled. We plan to return.

Old Charleston single house with Mediterranean décor. Multiple small dining rooms allow conversation, unlike current cavernous shouting venues. But you come for the food. The chef worked magic on my Saturday visit. Tuna tartare, lightly citrused, with cukes and sesame seeds. Simple, but the ingredients shined.. The Meze platter of babaganoush, humus, veg, feta, pita was equal to some I've... More

This is a little bit of a strange place. My spouse thought it looked a little like a Greek Bordello. But, the food was really good! It had a nice, but small, bar and several small dinning rooms with wall hangings and art. An outside porch was also available for dinning if the weather is good. Food-wise, the Baby Arugula... More

I had eaten here several years ago and was eager for my husband to try it. He liked it so much that we ate here twice. Both times we sat on the covered but open-air patio: perfect. The service was very nice, friendly, just the right amount of casual. We had duck breast as an app (twice, delicious); arugula salad... More

Very nice dinner in an old house with numerous rooms. Food was very fresh and tasty - the tagliatelle was excellent and the scallops were very good. Extensive wine list, so I think any one could find something to their liking. We were there on a Sunday night, so it wasn't busy, the reservations were very easy on open table.

On our first night in Charleston we went here because it was recommended by hotel staff and did not require reservations on Tuesday night. Very attractive atmosphere and excellent service. We had a light dinner of mushroom soup, chicken liver pate which was not great, and grouper served with roasted cauliflower and cream corn. The grouper was a little overdone... More

We ordered the grouper and milk-braised pork shoulder and both were excellent. The service was great, the ambience was delightful and we enjoyed our evening very much. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Four of us dined here on a Saturday night. We found it absolutely delightful! Located is a less busy part of town in an old house, the rooms are small and you have a feeling of privacy. Unlike many Charleston restaurants, we were able to easily carry on a conversation. The service was excellent and Allen gave us very good... More
