We walked into Virginia's for dinner before a concert. We were immediately greeted and seated. Virginia's is in a 300 yr old building in downtown Charleston. Ambience is like your dining circa 1850. Love it. There is a funcky smell of a very old place. But omg the food was amazing. They serve quintessential southern fare. I had braised short... More

After a long drive from Atlanta, Virginia's kindly found room for our family. Though we were a last minute add on, when we arrived so the restaurant the hostess knew exactly who we were and had laid out three kids menus at our table. The food and service were wonderful, and the location was great. Highly recommend!

My wife and I wanted a small meal and stopped by Virginia's for a quick snack. My wife ordered the She Crab soup, stated this was she has tasted. I ordered the seared scallops appetizer. The scallops had just the right sear and were tender beyond belief. Awesome choice for a mid afternoon snack. Only finding, and its minor, the... More

We stayed at a hotel nearby that did not have the best breakfast menu so I was glad to find Virginia's. We ate breakfast there everday on our trip. It was excellent and they had a great breakfast sandwich for $5.00 that was filling and quite good. The coffee was excellent. it was a laid back place where you could... More

My husband and parents at brunch at Virginia's during our visit to Charleston. The inside has a lot of character, similar to a cute tea house you'd find in Europe. We were immediately seated and ordered various omelettes off of the menu. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. It took a while to receive refills on coffee/water and our food... More

We were in town for one night and the next morning we walked around trying to find someplace to have breakfast. We stopped in Virginia's and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious but the service was slow and it was not busy. Our server was pleasant and very attentive. We loved the old building, it had such character.

My husband does not particularly. Like seafood so we chose this restaurant for a varied menu. The chicken and dumplings were not what we expected at all. It was more of a soup and pricey.

Have been to Virginia's multiple times and each is different...food quality is the only thing that has stayed the same. As far as service goes, it is very hit and miss. They know what great service is but lack it at some points ! Service aside, I do enjoy their food, but know there is better out there.
