We ate dinner at Virginia's on King, I had the Crab Stuffed Broiled Flounder Carolina gold rice, broccoli, dill beurre blanc, which I enjoyed although the rice was not my favorite. My wife ate the Carolina Bouillabaisse shrimp, scallops, clams and fish in a rich saffron broth which she loved. My very good rating was based on her liking this... More

Friendly atmosphere, helpfull staff and nice food. What more do you need? We wanted to go somewhere else, but there was a 30 minute wait. So we ended up in Virginia's. Nice seafood! And they have great New Sealand wines!

Very cool old building on King Street, more or less in the commercial heart of Charleston. Convenient location to parking, downtown, market area, etc. Menu has a nice varied selection. We chose scallops, she-crab soup, and the fried green tomato BLT, We were also given some broccoli and cottage-cheese corn bread, which was interesting but a bit bland. The food... More

Wonderful selection of typical southern favorites like fried chicken and fried catfish, but more refined fish entrees a well. Nice selection of fish dishes like seared snapper and jambalaya, The side dishes and cornbread are really delicious. People in our group raved about the collard greens and mac and cheese. Very convenient location on King Street. Friendly, efficient staff.

This restaurant is located within an area which is full of great restaurants. I found this to be very quaint, Southern style cooking which offered excellent flavors and very reasonable pricing. We ordered Ham, Meatloaf and Shrimp with grits. All were excellent, though the meatloaf is not traditional as it is made with various meat types compared to just beef.... More

Since we were staying at the Hampton Inn on John Street over Christmas week, we walked past Virginia's several times and wanted to try it. But the first time we stopped in, the wait was too long (even though half the tables were empty) and the hostess was not so friendly. So we went back for breakfast on our last... More

Had breakfast on 2 mornings while visiting Charleston - their Eggs Benedict was to die for. The service was excellent - very pleasant and helpful waiters. On our 2 week vacation from Boston to Charleston no other breakfast matched it. Well done Virginia's on King

Have been here multiple times and always order the pork. Was here for it again but found out that you can only get what I come for in tiny little biscuits as an appetizer at dinner. Now I know you have it in the back you just don't want to part with a portion that will make a dedicated patron... More

While exploring King St, we "found" Virginia's on King and decided to go for breakfast. Omelets were very nicely done, with a choice of grits (this is the South), home fried or hash browns. Service was good, food was very good and the coffee was drinkable. All in All a good choice. The also serve supper, brunch and dinners
