The food was really good, the service was amazing. I tried the catfish and it was my first experience. I was not disappointed. There wasn't anything we tried that wasn't good. The chocolate cake at the end of the night was a perfect ending. Not too sweet and it was dense. We really enjoyed our night here.

Love this place when ever visiting Charleston. It looks like it would be ordinary, but they are a great place to eat. good service and excellent food. The Southern Fried Buttermilk Chicken is awesome. Alway recommend people try Virginia's as one of the "GO To" places to eat in Charleston

After walking around downtown with a group of friends on a girls trip, we explored several options for dinner. We walked all the busy streets in the downtown area near the Market. Most places are pretty much the same with almost the same type of menu. It is pricey to eat at some of the bigger named restaurants. We tried... More

We chose Virginia's randomly just from a walk down King St and looking at supper menu. I ordered the cup of she crab soup as an appetizer. It had an average sweet crab taste, lacked sufficient stock, and no sherry taste at all. I ordered the Southern fried chicken dinner with substituted cream corn & steamed broccoli for sides. Again,... More

We stopped in here for breakfast on our way out of town. The girl behind the bar was very nice. Food came out fairly quick and wasn't bad. The other servers on the floor however, made the experience pretty bad. While eating at the bar, we literally were in the middle of their loud conversation and watched as they stood... More

I took my grandparents for brunch on a Monday. It took 20 minutes to get our waiter's attention to just get drinks, and there were only about 5 tables seated at that time. The waiter did not make us feel welcome, and was standoffish. The food was absolutely delicious, but they did not make us feel like a priority. Would... More

We had a great dinner at Virginias on King...it is very conveniently located and is r.easonably priced for excellent food in downtown Charleston. We tried the fried chicken, crab cakes, and short ribs off the supper menu...I was impressed with the quality of the food for the price. The shortribs were tender, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy and... More

Recommandation was made by the visitors centre. We ordered 3 appetizer, fried green tomatoes which were very good, crab stuffed mushrooms which were not to tasty and chicken liver, to crispy , not enough taste of the liver. We shared the shrimps grits which was excellent and loved by all. Then we shared the southern fried chicken which also was... More

We were a rather large party so had to sit in 2 booths. I had the catfish and it did not meet my expectations. I was expecting a crispy cornmeal batter. I must've missed that it would be breaded with flour. It was a very small fillet and lacked seasoning. They literally took one fillet and cut it lengthwise. I... More
