While exploring King St, we "found" Virginia's on King and decided to go for breakfast. Omelets were very nicely done, with a choice of grits (this is the South), home fried or hash browns. Service was good, food was very good and the coffee was drinkable. All in All a good choice. The also serve supper, brunch and dinners

The place advertises as low country food, which is what we sought. Food was not bad, but was a little bland. Perhaps it was too healthy.

WOW! It was blistering hot and humid as can be. We were drenched when we got to Virginia's, our waiter gave us time to cool down...fantastic wine, great iced tea. The She Crab Soup is phenomenal! Have it! The fried green tomatoes...gotta have them.

I rarely eat chicken in restaurants, but when I saw Pecan Crusted Chicken on the menu, it was a must-have. I was not disappointed and relished every morsel of the delectable nutty breast. Portions are generous, and starters include fried green tomatoes. Casual with southern sophistication

While in Charleston, I did a S&G comparison at 3 different spots. Yes, now I'm home and eating lettuce! What outstanding preps of grits! Who'd have known?! Virginia's was my best. Husk was good too, as was Water's Edge in Mt. Pleasant. But Virginia's "took the cake"! A casual dining spot, great attentive service, clean, goof choices on the menu--but... More

We arrived when brunch was still being served but found the menu very adequate for a mid-day meal. Good variety of foods and excellent service. One small complaint: they were out of she-crab soup. Nice place to go when visiting Charleston King Street sights.

Within walking distance of our lodgings before and walking distance of the visitors center afterward, we got an early morning dose of Shrimp & Grits with coffee, Traditional Tomato Pie and eggs. Yum. Not too heavy but carried us through a late lunch. Great windows overlooking King St and the park let in abundant light.

On our walk from the Tourist Center at the completion of our Gullah tour we stopped at Virginia's on King. For someone who wants some good southern cooking for lunch this is the place. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was divine. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. It was a sit down dining experience without... More

Overall good quality food and value. Service was very friendly. The star of the show for me was the She Crab soup, which was out of this world.
