I have been going to the Rusty Anchor for many years, and have endured the different managers and attempts at different menus. The current version is probably the weakest. The food is at best average but is sold at premium prices. There are times that the bands playing next door at the Quarter Deck obviously confuse volume with quality, making... More

Because we live on the lake now we can come here by boat. Our dinner was really excellent. The whole crispy flounder was perfectly done, moist, tender and a large portion. However, I prefer the apricot-soy sauce on the side. The wedge salad had huge pieces of house smoked bacon and really generous blue cheese. My wife had a fried... More

My husband was in the mood on Sunday morning for bagel and lox. Took a drive to this place. I ordered a Mimosa, my husband wanted some tomato juice or V8. Sorry we only have Bloody Mary mix the waiter said so he got one.Champagne in the Mimosa was so slight you could not taste anything but OJ. I ordered... More

We tried the Rusty Anchor on 3 different occasions - looking forward to an enjoyable outdoor experience and were disappointed each time. The first night we ate at the Rusty Anchor, snagging a table on the deck. The service was inexperienced, pleasant but it was evident he had no training which made him and us uncomfortable. There is no excuse... More

The outside dining area is quite pleasing, as long as it is not too crowded. The food is very average for a lakeside joint, but you're not there for 5 star dining! The music was good and the service was good. We'll go back in the future.

The rusty Anchor restaurant on Lake Murray near Columbia, South Carolina, has been a great destination for boatloads of sailors, friends and family. It's actually two restaurants in one: the main dining room (with outside seating) plus the Quarterdeck (cabana-style bar and grill setting). Both are waterside. (If you can't find a space to tie up dock side, anchor and... More

The service is always lacking. Just not enough knowledgeable servers. Great burgers and Fried shrimp with good portions My son loves the Wrap at the quarterdeck! But you cannot get healthy otherwise at the quarterdeck. The Rusty Anchor is clean and has good atmosphere. The wine selection is good. The food is inconsistent. have never seen scallops sliced quarter inch... More

I've been coming to the Rusty Anchor for years and I my experience today was the best ever! Service was good, my salad was amazing and the view of the lake was breath taking! There are various bands that play there too so, I am going to make it a point to bring my husband for date night!!!
