Well, living only 10 minutes away for years we finally made it to The Cottage for a mid afternoon sweet tea and some pastries, for our party of three. No one seated us, so we just sat at an open table. My wife and brother ordered three pastries and were given them a Styrofoam container. the sweet teas were also... More

Really good food and great service. The shrimp and the fish tacos looked fabulous. We had a panini and fried green tomatoes. It was fantastic!

We visited for breakfast and for lunch. We enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is like a little southern tea room but perfect for women and men. The scrambled egg dish with cream cheese, spinach, and fresh tomatoes was delicious! My husband loves his with sausage peppers and cheese. Lunch was amazing pot pies with puffed pastry. It reminded me a... More

We make a visit to this restaurant a must on each visit to Hilton Head. The food is wonderful, and the menu does change. There is always something nice for me as a vegetarian, and my husband just loves the food here. We go on the Farmer's Market day and have an early lunch, then browse around the market. We... More

There was a little bit of a wait for us but that usually assures that the food is good. We weren't disappointed. Nice eclectic menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. Located on a nice walkable town street with a few shops to bride through.

Everyone that we asked where to go for lunch said The Cottage. They were right! The green fries tomatoes and the fish tacos are the best I had ever try! Everyone recommend those two dishes and they were right again! You can't go wrong with those two!

We were told by a realtor that we "had to have lunch at The Cottage"! It is a small unassuming house in the middle of funky, beautiful Old Town Bluffton, South Carolina. The waitstaff are warm and friendly, the place is chock full of fun southern charm. And the food is second to none! Try the turkey and brie Panini...trust... More

We stopped for breakfast on our way home from HHI. Absolutely amazing! We ordered the shrimp & grits and crab omelette. Both good, but the shrimp & grits were out of this world! And we are from the South, so we are accustomed to good Southern shrimp and grits. And they even have awesome espresso & serve cornbread with cinnamon... More

We stayed on HHI Oct. 2013, & visited the farmers market day, then had lunch here. I had the shrimp-n-grits, huge delightful serving, and spouse had a sandwich (I can't remember cuz I was loving my dish!) but he also ate off my plate, loving it as much as I did! We are headed to Kiawah this fall and we... More
