Beautiful restaurant and great food!

We come here on Monday night for their two course dinner special for $20. We love the pimento cheese tapas and butter bean hummus. My husband loves the lamb meatloaf and braised short rib entrees. I enjoy the lightly breaded fried chicken breasts with mashed red potatoes. They also have angus... read more

Great menu, great cocktails and great service! Tapas and big plates, fresh fish to filet mignon to lamb meatloaf. Presentation excellent and food of the highest and freshest quality. Very cosmopolitan atmosphere in complete contrast to Beaufort, but very warm and inviting. You would think you were in Charleston or even Boston. Don't miss it if you are in Beaufort!!... More

We frequent Beaufort several times a year and this past Saturday night decided to try Breakwater, wow, I was impressed. Straight to the point I told our server this was one of the best dinner's I had ever experienced in Beaufort. Can't wait to go there again !!!

This was a last-minute dining decision, so without a reservation, I opted for a table in the bar. No problem -- the service here was outstanding and genuinely warm. The lamb meatloaf was a savory delight.

Good wine list. Great crowd - very popular restaurant with locals and visitors. Can be a little noisy, but we had a table off to the side.

I'm a spoiled NY'r who was blown away by the chefs imagination putting food together. The ramen noodle was amazing and went back for second time during lunch only to find they were closed. We had 10 mouths to feed and everyone said this food is amazing. Short braised ribs, salmon, sliders, mushrooms, salad.....not one bad word! Just ohhhh, ahhh... More

Thank you for your great review! We are so happy to hear when our guests have enjoyed their evening with us. Our kitchen works very hard on our menu and specials and it's wonderful to hear when they have hit a home run. Thank you for choosing to dine with us and we hope to see you back in Beaufort... More

Love Breakwater. Atmosphere is contemporary, more urban than you may expect in a mid-sized Southern town. Food is outstanding. Service is top notch. Now, once and again, like all restaurants, there may be a less than "expected" experience, but the owners are gracious and willing to do their best to make any issues right. I have never heard of someone... More

Studied reviews, walked here at 5ish and had a warm welcome from hostess, lucky to get a great corner table at the window to watch the traffic. Waitress very helpful and gave a great recommendation for wine. Perhaps we erred in ordering the specials...catch of day, flounder, favorite of one of us, and another fave, lamb shank. Appetizer seasonal salad... More

Thank you for your honest review of your recent dining experience. I'm very sorry that you did not enjoy your evening or meal with us. It is unfortunate that you made it out of our restaurant without your server or the manager knowing that you were not happy with your meal. We never expect our guests to pay for or... More
