We were in town just for the day and hoping for a nice fresh seafood lunch. Not to be had - the nice places only open for dinner and the rest seemed to be café style with sandwiches or fried food. Read on line that at least Gilligan's had a view, so we left the downtown area and ate there.... More

My wife and I visited for a late lunch and were fortunate enough to get a great view of the marsh from our booth. The side windows are very large and affords the lucky a great panorama. We were also fortunate in that a small T-storm blew in and we watched it approach with all of its wind and lightning.... More

Close to lodging, and main hwy.Crab legs and shrimp were delectable! The waiter was polite and made my family feel like royalty! The restaurant was not advertised in the restaurant brochure given at our hotel : it should have been! We took a gamble and won! I will be back!

The stir fry with shrimp & sausage! It was delicious. Also had cabbage with creole seasoning & rice. Our server took care of 15 of us & provided great service. He was very attentive.

I ordered the Seafood Trio (Shrimp, Flounder, and Scallops) with red rice and fried okra which was really good. Our waitress Renee was very attentive. I will return.

We had a great server here - very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The seafood here was average with prices similar to those of Red Lobster. It did not impress our party and this visit will do it for us.

Not knowing the area, we stopped by where we saw a lot of cars. Worth the stop! Good sized restaurant and the food was good. They provided some complimentary hush puppies as soon as we walked in. I tried the "local" bourbon drink "Cypress Swamp Water" and found it a great drink. We shared the fish tacos and the Salmon... More

Food was ok, but far too pricey for the quantity/quality. Bill for 8 of us was almost $300, and not much of that was alcohol (maybe $40). Might have been acceptable if the food was exceptional. Disappointing, as it came highly recommended. Our server Justin, however, was wonderful... it just didn't make up for the price-quality imbalance.

We'd been fans of Gilligan's for years but had noticed a dropoff in quantity while prices went up. Prices are a bit higher than in years past but the quantity has gone up lately as well. Had the Admiral's Platter, the big one, and left with take away boxes. Oysters were smallish but very good, scallops excellent, and their shrimp... More
