My husband and I have a vacation home in Beaufort SC, and have had the bisque here before. We were looking forward to going back and trying it again. Well we got there around 4pm during the week and we were told that they only service food until 3pm. We were disappointed, until our waitress, Zoey, said she'd check the kitchen... More

No food available. Not a soul in the place except a snotty bartender. She seemed surprised that we were looking for dinner.

Stumbled upon this little place and had a great lunch. Very friendly staff and great food. I had the French Dip sandwich and I wasn't disappointed.

If you're coming to Hemingway's looking for fancy drinks or upscale atmosphere, you are going to be disappointed. That being said, this place knows how to be a bar. The drinks are cheap but good and it's a great place to hang out and let your hair down. Always fun.

Six of us found this spot for lunch on a nice sunny day in Beaufort. We turned down an alley off the Main Street and found it. The inside of the restaurant is small and cramped, but they had a pleasant patio in the back. We all ordered the specials to save time. Some had a turkey and cranberry wrap... More

Stopped for lunch and the "She-Crab" soup was great. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend. Place is not fancy but has a nice bar area inside. Sing over the kitchen says....DON'T TOUCH THE COOKS BUNS!"

We just happened to stumble upon this place. It reminded me of Fat Tony's in Key West with dark wood & Dollar bills taped to the walls. Our server was okay, not overly friendly. She seemed occupied talking to someone she knew. They serve cold beer and that was what we wanted.

Sitting amidst a number of similar venues, Hemingway's stands out with their delicious food and delightful staff!!! We've been to Beaufort many times, and tried nearly all of the waterfront eateries. Hemingway's is now our favorite!

On an afternoon stroll along the waterfront, we chanced upon Hemingway's Bistro. It was a fun-funky place. I loved the authentic look of the place, not fussy... stone walls and floor. The bar area could have been from a cool movie set with dollar bills tacked to the walls but is was REAL! We had the She-Crab soup ...and it... More
