My husband and I try to eat breakfast or lunch here every time we come to Beaufort. The restaurant has high ceilings and windows, which gives it an airy, beach feel. The food is always fresh, simple and delicious. Also, check out the canned items for sale. Lots of interesting looking delights!

Love the atmosphere and menu. The tomato pie and chocolate-banana pudding are to die for! Everything is fresh and homemade.

We stopped for lunch, and the place was crowded! The staff was very friendly and helped us find a table as soon as possible. We tried the greek grilled cheese and ooey gooey - both were very good options. The restaurant is unique and has some cool architecture.

We ate here for breakfast, and also for a light mid-afternoon lunch. The food and service were good both times. The french toast with strawberry slices was outstanding for breakfast. Nice restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday and had a great lunch. We both had the shrimp po boys, although my wife had the slaw and I had the fried chips. Everything about the sandwich tasted fresh: the bread, the shrimp, the lettuce, tomatoes, and the tartar sauce. The sides were delicious, too. Lowcountry is on Carteret Street, just... More

We were trying to decide between lunch or breakfast food when our waitress squatted down next to our table and took us through what was homemade. Very homey & casual. We decided on the ooey gooey--delicious grilled pentimento cheese with bacon & garlic jelly on rye. Yum! The brownie with caramel sauce was warm & gooey, too. Ah, the lemonade... More

Went to Lowcountry Produce Market Cafe sometime before noon on a Sunday. There was a long line, but I was told it would go quickly. It did not. By the time I got my table, they had stopped serving breakfast and the lunch sandwich I wanted was gone. Server was very sweet, said, "It's always a madhouse on Sunday. You... More

Hi Connie! Were you at the Market and Café in Beaufort ~ we serve breakfast from 8am until 3pm on Sunday. The only thing we don't have after 12pm are the doughnuts and we don't serve our famous burger on Sunday due to limited grill space. I am sorry if you were told you could not get breakfast and that... More

We have eaten here 3 times now during our month long stay in the area. Sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients. Veggie soup is loaded with local veggies. It could have used some additional herbs for flavoring. The tomato pie tasted fresh and wasn't overloaded with cheese....had just the right amount. Menu includes some nice wines. Locally grown and preserved... More
