Wonderful Northern Italian food in a quirky setting

My husband and I had reservations and turned into the small parking lot and were immediately greeted by the owner. He made sure we had a spot to park and showed us to our table. I had read all of the recent reviews and was not disappointed. The owner does explain the menu and is very involved but I... read more

We had dinner here our last night in Beaufort. The food was good. It's a little pricey I thought for the amount of food you get especially the appetizers (two pieces of bread) & desserts (1 small serving). I would not return.

Went to Griffin Market with husband and adult daughter for husband's birthday lunch (have been there previously for dinner). For starters, the crostini and watermelon salad were excellent along with a nice glass of pinot noir selected by the manager. The chicken milanese with arugula & fennel and pork ragu rigatoni were also excellent (although somewhat disappointed by the quite... More

If you don't know it' s location you would drive right past its u imposing facade, but would lose out on wonderful northern Italian food. Menu changes constantly, but best recommendation is looking forward to returning soon!

What a wonderful experience. Great food, fantastic service. Laura is a wonderful chef who uses fresh ingredients to create an inviting menu. We had seafood appetizer filled with delicately cooked octopus, mussels, and shrimp. We followed that with sage pasta with fava beans and asparagus and for our entree fresh mussels in a wine and leek mussel broth. Yum!!!!! Portion... More

Straight for being a high end Georgetown icon, driven away by the high DC rents and the rat race, this is a wonderful addition to the Beaufort restaurant scene with true Italian food and a good wine list.

We had a fabulous dinner at the Griffin Market. It is Italian cuisine serving 3 courses and very authentic. Each course was delicious. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Griffin Market is the wonderful result of the collaboration of Laura and Riccardo. She is the chef and he handles the front of the house, personally waiting on every table and taking every order himself. Riccardo is a superb sommelier and has detailed knowledge of every item on the menu, which changes daily according to the availability of seasonal ingredients.... More

The best tuna sandwich ever made with marvellous italian tuna topped with finely sliced radishes and thinly sliced hard cooked egg. It is not drenched in mayo but absolutely delizioso and served on fantastic bread with fresh mixed green salad.
