As good as you good expect for this area, this simply styled restaurant served an interesting tasting menu ($70 a head, drinks not included) that included some original though generally heavy foods/ sauces. Ravioli with cod, risotto in squid ink, octopus in a mushroom soup etc. No meat. Virtually no vegetable and no fruit. The pasta was somewhat overcooked, but... More

As a Charlestonian who has access to some of the best food in the country, I admit that I'm a bit of a food snob. Still, I'm more than willing to give props, where props are due. I am overjoyed that Beaufort has more than one decent restaurant to its name and the Griffin Market is among them. Did I... More

Nice place. Food is good, nothing I would consider outstanding, but decent. Small portions with an excessive price. Service is acceptable and host is friendly.

My husband and I ate at Griffin Market twice last week, and our only regret was that we could not stay in Beaufort for a few more days so we could eat there more times. This is one of our regular spots when visiting South Carolina, and it is as good as ever. I had to beat my husband off... More

What a lovely dining experience! My husband and I went on a Sunday evening when a limited menu, inclusive price, four course meal was served. Every single dish, from the appetizer to dessert was unique and delicious! The wine list is extensive and equally impressive. Trip Advisor rates Garden Market $$, I would rate it $$$... and worth every penny!

Great menu, I can't believe I ordered their frankfurter with all the topping. It was so tasty, I recommend trying it.

The picture of a perfect meal, to me, is like seeing a great composer conduct a concerto. And this meal was a masterpiece. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the restaurant owner went out of his way to make sure it was romantic by selecting the best table and offering a sparkling chardonnay. The restaurant owner is... More

This charming restaurant is a bit off-the-beaten path in Beaufort, meaning it's not located on the tourist-magnet Bay Street; but it is still within the lovely historic area. It is owned by a couple, the husband being from Italy and the wife American. She cooks up mouth-watering Italian dishes, however, many of which the husband describes as "like my mother... More

The Best authentic Italian Restaurant in the Low Country. According to Pat Conroy, a local and nationally know author, "The best Italian food ever served in South Carolina." He also noted the name is possibly the worst name for an Italian restaurant. ever...Once you get past that, you're in for an exquisite dining experience. Northern Italian (Piedmont) in the Kitchen...
