This was the best meal we had in all of Charleston, Beaufort and Savannah. What a surprise. Like we were back in Italy! Food is positively fresh and homemade by the co-owner. First off - the food was great. High quality, beautifully prepared and really delicious. BUT from the moment we walked in the door we were treated as if we were lucky to be let in the place instead of being treated as guests or at least customers. We were scolded because we were a group of 4 not 5 like... More

Just an amazing experience for dinner. The menu is ever-changing, the ingredients are local and fresh that day. The food is authentic, and the owner takes great care of you. Wonderful wine list and the cannoli is fantastic.

This was our second visit to Griffin Market and we would continue to highly recommend it. Griffin Market is a small restaurant run by Laura and Riccardo Bonino. Laura runs the kitchen and Riccardo is in charge of the front of the house. With only a few tables Griffin Market can fill up, so I would recommend making a reservation... More

We had reservations for dinner last Friday for 6 people. (You really need a reservation!) Unbeknownst to me, my girlfriends had booked Griffin Market for lunch as well! We were treated royally for lunch and appreciated the smaller portions and attention to detail. I complimented the wait staff that they did not try to take our dishes before everyone had... More

Griffin Market is an outstanding Italian restaurant -outstanding for the whole region of the southeastern US - plus it compares outstandingly with the best Italian restaurants in NYC, Chicago, or San Francisco. If anywhere near Beaufort, South Carolina, the Griffin Market is worth a drive - and even worth the "journey" of a trip (as Michelin guides would put it)... More

The menu changes frequently. My wife and I respectively had cooked meats and shellfish antipasti, shared a green vegetable pasta, and had vegetable and chicken dishes, northern Italian style. The ingredients were top quality, the cooking superb. If you like to stick to traditional American-Italian menus, this may not be the place for you, but you will be missing a... More

We had dinner here our last night in Beaufort. The food was good. It's a little pricey I thought for the amount of food you get especially the appetizers (two pieces of bread) & desserts (1 small serving). I would not return.
