Tuna sabdwich

The best tuna sandwich ever made with marvellous italian tuna topped with finely sliced radishes and thinly sliced hard cooked egg. It is not drenched in mayo but absolutely delizioso and served on fantastic bread with fresh mixed green salad.

If you are near Beaufort, SC, make reservations via Open Table for Griffin Market. It might be a bit on th epricey side, but it will not leave you disappointed. It is worth every penny you spend here. Excellent wine selection and a staff thta knows it wines! The pasa is frsh and everything is homemade. The beet salad and... More

Griffin Market was a little bit hard to find (no sign) but when we did we were greeted like long lost friends. Ricardo is your host, and his Italian charm will warm your heart. Plus the food, prepared by his wife, will tickle your taste buds. We are foodies, but will put this restaurant on our memorable all time list.... More

If you are looking for something reminiscent of old world restaurants and food, this is it. However, you'd better know where you are going since there is no sign. Very intimate. The food was exquisite. Went with another couple to celebrate two mutual birthdays and we were not disappointed. The housemade pasta was feather-light. The wine list can be intimidating,... More

This was a great spot for dinner on Sunday evening, when many of Beaufort's restaurants are closed. I enjoyed everything served on the prix fixe menu, and it was not your everyday Italian. Unfortunately, the service wasn't quite up to snuff. It was competent and not unpleasant, but not once was I asked if I'd like more wine or a... More

We had to peek in to see this place. The people who work here are very nice and sweet. The Fire & Rescue Dept. seem to have made it their luncheon stop, which speaks volumes. A lovely addition to a grand old town.

As good as you good expect for this area, this simply styled restaurant served an interesting tasting menu ($70 a head, drinks not included) that included some original though generally heavy foods/ sauces. Ravioli with cod, risotto in squid ink, octopus in a mushroom soup etc. No meat. Virtually no vegetable and no fruit. The pasta was somewhat overcooked, but... More

As a Charlestonian who has access to some of the best food in the country, I admit that I'm a bit of a food snob. Still, I'm more than willing to give props, where props are due. I am overjoyed that Beaufort has more than one decent restaurant to its name and the Griffin Market is among them. Did I... More

Nice place. Food is good, nothing I would consider outstanding, but decent. Small portions with an excessive price. Service is acceptable and host is friendly.

My husband and I ate at Griffin Market twice last week, and our only regret was that we could not stay in Beaufort for a few more days so we could eat there more times. This is one of our regular spots when visiting South Carolina, and it is as good as ever. I had to beat my husband off... More
