Description: Wren Bistro and Bar is a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar...
Wren Bistro and Bar is a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar that features an ever evolving menu for both lunch and dinner. The kitchen uses delicious locally caught seafood, great cuts of steak, juicy chicken, and tasty pasta dishes. The portions are enormous (the 18 oz ribeye, and the 12-14 oz burgers for example!) and are easily big enough to share. We compliment the lunch and dinner menus with a staff of professional servers and bartenders who are very knowledgeable, always courteous, and very entertaining. The décor is elegant, yet modern and hip. Wonderful creative entrees, elegant table settings, reasonable prices

my wife and I stopped for lunch and were so pleased with the food, decor, service and price that we cancelled our dinner reservation elsewhere and returned for dinner. For dinner I had crispy flounder over Roasted corn and polenta.....excellent! Lovely table settings with ivory tablecloths.

Love the Wren Bistro for lunch, but it was a different experience at our first and last dinner. Night service was painfully slow and made worse by the fact that we could see our server happily entertaining a table of younger diners across from our forgotten table. My son had to ask three times for his drink before it was... More

Wonderful find (thanks to Trip Advisor) on a rainy afternoon. Lunch was great as was the wine. The tables in the front are much quieter than the area in the back (which you can't see when you come in) and they tried to seat us there initially. Overall, the restaurant, and the town were great.

This is the first time I have eaten lunch here, it will definitely not be the last. My friend and I stopped in here after walking by some other restaurants and wanted to try something new. They have a great lunch menu. I ordered the burger and didn't expect what I got. It's a good size burger and a great... More

I am quite a foodie, and very critical of average fare. This bistro, however, deserves praise! My friend and I enjoyed salad that was divine, with crispy fried chicken breast and fruit. After a couple of their seafood bisque which was very delicious, I ordered the "Southern tier", with fried green tomato, goat cheese, bacon, and charred tomato relish on... More

We made reservations 2 weeks before our visit but our name wasn't on the list when we showed up but the host immediately prepared a table for us. Was a bit disappointed that the menu was so heavy with sandwich fare. Service was friendly though getting a second round of drinks took a long time. Kinda loud inside too with... More

With its warehouse/industrial aesthetic of exposed brick, ducts and girders, Wren Bistro aspires to be the lovely Old South town of Beaufort's hip alternative. The menu offers innovative takes on traditional cuisine. The caesar salad is garnished with peppers and olives, and the seriously flaky mahi mahi and shrimp is accompanied by a nicely textured grit cake and bathed in... More

Departing Charleston, SC, we checked into our B & B in charming Beaufort. We then looked into lunch by exploring the "downtown" area and came across Wren, just off the main street and up the corner. Wren's interior is smart, clean, casual, and comfortable. Our lunch was very good as was the service; our server could not have been more... More

Did not have the chance to dine here for dinner, but would certainly do so next time I visit Beaufort. Great service, despite how insanely busy they were, and food was excellent. Chicken salad was delicious. Cozy booths, close dining, but worth the visit.

Wren is is my favorite Beaufort restaurant for lunch. Just go for the Toasted Pecan Cranberry Chicken Salad plate and Mango iced tea. Everything is very good but I can never get past the chicken salad plate on the menu. The chicken salad is just perfect, not too much mayo. It comes on a bed of mixed greens with several... More
