A small cafe in Batesburg. I have eaten there with a friend of mine several times and each time the service has been poor. They actually start sweeping and mopping right underneath you as you are still trying to eat. The food is decent (not the best) but the service is just terrible. This last time was the straw that... I have eaten here several times over the past few years. The food is always fresh and delicious! Today I had Mike's special spicy pimento cheese sandwich and it was sooo good! Better than the pimento cheese sandwich I had at a big name place in Columbia the other day. Offerings also include various sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers, desserts and... More

A wonderful little gem of a restaurant in the heart of BBQ country. Neighbor's Cafe offers an eclectic variety of food. From Pork Tenderloin to Chef Salads;Broiled Salmon to Hot Wings; Big Mike's Burger to Stacked Enchiladas. Everything is great. Oh, and did I mention the soups!? Shrimp bisque, Clam chowder and French Dip are just a few. Did I... More

Back to the Neighbors Cafe and had the pan seared Rainbow Trout special, and it was simply outstanding. Topped with crawfish and a light cream sauce, killer! Side of hot potato salad went perfectly too. Service was very fine, and a great place with a quiet ambiance that just fits the old decor. I will be back! BIG DOG

I live nearby and go here for lunch sometimes. Spectacular chicken salad, which is harder to find in SC than you would think (Just be sure to ask for extra mayo..). They offer different soups each day... if you are lucky enough to hit a day with the shrimp and corn chowder or the potato soup, you should give it... More

Have been to Neighbors Cafe in the evening a number of times, and regardless of what you order, the food is always impeccable. Set in the old historic Ridgell's Drug Store building, Mike, the chef, and his folks deliver a quality dinning experience every time whether an entree or my favorite of their sandwiches, the Triple Decker Club. Traveling all... More

A good place to eat in a small town. My only complaint was my portion of a chicken leg quarter was very small. I've almost never left a restaurant still hungry, but that was the case here. The flavor, preparation and quality of food was all good. The price was a little more than I would expect to pay. The... More

The thing they really need to work on is their customer service friendlyness. The lady with the shoulder length gray hair at the register wasn't very friendly. She doesn't smile much and seemed stressed out each time I have eaten here. Food is good. Kinda pricy. But the Lady at the register wasn't the nicest.

During a recent visit to South Carolina searching for possible retirement towns, my wife and I happened onto Neighbors Cafe in Batesburg, SC. It was a nice enough place to have a quite meal but, it was a little pricy for it's location. The food was hot and served in a reasonable time. The staff wasn't over frinedly but, weren't... More
